This show really knows how to nail finales! I absolutely loved watching the legend of Martha Jones and the Doctor grow. I’m constantly surprised by the solution to these impossible stakes. Fantastic!

**Reminder, due to the Amazon version of this episode missing a chunk of the original broadcast I watched this on my blu-ray which means it will run 4% slower than the original PAL versions of the episode. Sorry about that. This is the only episode that has missing scenes and the rest of the series will be continued on Amazon.

Sorry the face of boe got spoiled for you, but it was still awesome you appreciated the reveal all the same. If you look back to the face of boe episodes, it all makes sense now that we know it's Jack. Obviously Jack knows both Martha and Rose, and he also knows the 9th and 10th Doctors. He knows that it's specifically the combination of the 10th Doctor with Martha who will run into the Master. So we meet Boe at the end of the world in season 1. It's the 9th Doctor, too soon in his timestream so doesn't even attempt to pass on the "you are not alone" message. Second time we meet Boe, he's dying in hospital on New New Earth. It's the 10th Doctor, and he's getting ready to reveal the secret, but right at the end of the episode he catches a glimpse of Rose for the first time this episode (technically Cassandra in Rose's body). It's still too soon in the Doctor's timeline, but he knows Rose doesn't have much time left and that Martha's journey is soon. "There's better things to do than dying, but we will meet a third and final time Doctor" Then we are back on New New Earth. Boe see's the tenth Doctor, but still no companion. He's already used up his life force to free the cars from gridlock. He's dying but he's not passing on the message yet. But then Martha walks in. Boe knows this is the right combination, 10th Doctor and Martha. "Doctor, you are not alone" and the face of Boe/Captain Jack, rumored to be a million years old, finally takes his last breath.

I love this finale. I could write loads of stuff but I just want to declare my love and how much I'm looking forward to going onwards with you. Also sad Face of Boe got spoiled. I squealed when I found out all those years ago haha
