Who doesn’t love a quick temporal shift into 1941 with no guaranteed way to get home. That only scratches the surface of the penultimate episode of Torchwood’s first series!

Not going to lie, I love it when a technical issue actually works in my favor!!! lol The actor who played the "real" Captain Jack took the role because his brother was gay, but like most of us who were coming of age in the late 90's, early 2000's, he had a hard time dealing with it, and sadly committed suicide. He said that the script really resonated with him, and helped him to understand the struggles his brother had faced so he performed this role in his brothers honor. Not only that but we have the wonderful Murray Melvin, who passed away 1 year ago (April 14th 2023) at age 90, playing Bilis Manger. He is credited an "unsung queer pioneer" and a "true gay icon" because he dared to come out when homosexuality was still criminalized in the UK. Wonderful episode, truly emotional, and for me the best episode of season 1.

lol it's rare that it goes that way! I think the schedule button was just broken for a while, because after I released 12, I went to reschedule 13 to today and almost released it too!! 🤣 That's truly heartbreaking and I love that he took that role in honor of his brother. Murray was fantastic in these two episodes! Glad he is a part of this show.

I love this episode (I love almost every episode of Torchwood). So it's no secret that Ianto Jones is my favourite character and dayum do I love the stand off between him and Owen at the Rift Manipulator!!!!! I love that you want to know more about Ianto because he is my favourite hahaha! Onto the finale!

Owen really brought so much intensity in this arc. It’s an incredible can’t look away moment anytime Owen is near that machine. 👀
