The Galactica (and the fleet in general) have insane reserves of supplies. BSG reminds me of Gilligan's Island in that way. Like, those seven castaways were only going out for a three-hour tour, and yet, just look at how many changes of clothes the Howell's have, and how many cosmetics Ginger has on the island. Meanwhile, back in BSG land, Cottle still has smokes and it doesn't even seem like the idea of rationing them has crossed his mind. Chief and his knuckle draggers have welding rods for days. Nobody is worried about running out of ammunition for vipers, raptors, or sidearms. There's clearly a lot of top shelf alcohol around still. I'm just saying that for a fleet of ships that were all caught up in a war by surprise, they all seemed to be traveling like the SS Minnow when it happened.

Yea, it's intersting!! Occasionally, especially early on they did delve into the issues of supplies, but it's a fairly non-issue. I guess it doesn't make great tv?

I really liked how Ellen's character changes so dramatically from what she was in her former state to as one of the cylons. Her disoriented and traumatic resurrection shifts to that completely calm and confident demeanor immediately. The acting is great. She portrayed a kind of airheaded, self-indulgent woman with very little to recommend her, aside from some kind of loyalty to Saul, kind of. But she's instantly something completely different and its very jarring.
