OUTSTANDING EPISODE. This was an adrenaline fueled episode from start to finish. I’m pretty sure all the main characters are about to die. Probably not though. RIGHT?!

They couldn't have chosen a better character to ally with Zarek than Gaeta - his position allowed him to keep information from anyone he didn't want to have it, and to direct the entire thing from CIC while playing *everybody*. (Also forgot to mention last week Gaeta's new metal leg and foot -- as he is arguing against allying with the Cylons, he's becoming a bit of a machine himself). Alessadro Juliani is putting everything he has into Gaeta's role in this storyline. It's so good. I LOVE the scene in the hallway when Adama and Tigh take down the armed Marines on the way to the brig like it's nothing. 20 years ago, when the show was airing, a small but vocal subgroup of fans would complain whenever the story focused on "the old people"—it seemed like they were only interested in the story when it included the younger characters who would get naked from time to time. Annoying, but easy to ignore. (And it *was* fun to watch Lee and Starbuck not know quite where to look while Adama and Roslin were saying their goodbyes. Meanwhile, Gaius Baltar was looking on from the shuttle in what seemed to have been genuine empathy - talk about a character arc.) And then Saul and Bill chose to stay and fight instead of take the available escape. Because OF COURSE they did. And then the grenade…. We had to wait a week, of course. I loved that you watched them the same day — I only wish I could have watched both reactions on the same day because waiting is hard.

Man, they bring in a lot of faces, but they're all the people that you would expect to be mutineers. The way the plot is carried out makes sense. Juliani's acting is perfect, as is Zarek's. This show is so amazing

Every scene with Adam and Tigh was spectacular. They really are incredible performers and it's great to see the characters show off their military prowess.
