Possibly one of the most organic story plotting and cinematography I’ve seen. This western really let its story unfold in the most natural way possible. It pulls you in and you can’t help but root for good outcome in the final showdown.

Gosh, I totally forgot about this movie. If I remember right (haven't jumped in to watch, yet), it wasn't a flashy western, but was otherwise in line with its contemporary westerns, so it didn't make a big splash. I don't remember how I felt about it, but it definitely makes me think Range Wars, which makes me eager to jump into rewatching!

I am so, so happy you’ve reacted to this movie! It’s one of my favorite “Old School” Westerns. With the exception of the usual suspects, i.e. “Unforgiven” (1992), “3:10 to Yuma” (2007), “The Hateful Eight” (2015), etc. there are not many reactors who enter into the Western Genre. Madison Thames is an exception, however most of her full reactions are unavailable as they are / were on Google Drive (I believe). The general storytelling of movies has changed nowadays to where an immediate action sequence is needed / used to hook and draw viewers in. Instead of the “slow burn” that usually characterizes movies like this one (and earlier Westerns). Which way is better? Not for me to say. For me, I just appreciate the earlier Westerns.

Madison is great! I think there is room for both types of films. Certainly there’s people who enjoy both, although there’s far more that start with the BANG these days.
