Steam Version Coming Soon!

I'm currently working on getting out the Steam version of Life in Woodchester! The store page just got into review, so things should be pushed forward this month. It does take some time out of the roadmap to achieve, but getting the Steam version up and going will also bring more attention and accessibility to the game.

Platform Expectations

So while the game will be available on multiple digital platforms, I wanted to kind of go over the thought process behind what you can expect from each.

👩‍🦰 Patreon - The Patreon version will be the early version of the game. The latest and greatest as soon as a build is available. Exclusive Patreon girl?

🚂Steam - The Steam version will be the latest Stable version of the game. This is about 1-2 weeks after the early version. Exclusive Steam girl?

🏪Itch.io & Non Patrons - This will  serve as the free version, which will be one major update behind the latest version

As alluded to above, I'd like to get girls that are available exclusively for the Steam & Patreon versions. These would just be one off girls themed like the digital platform just for fun. In theory, you should absolutely be able to use save files from either platform.

The Steam version being a Victorian Goth Criminal and the Patreon version being a Busty Goddess Warrior in disguise.

Some concept ideas below.

We may also do a "Cheat Mode" available for the higher tier patrons, because most of our Creators & Producers don't seem to weigh in that much on our production, perhaps because they just want to give us creative freedom, which is totally fine. It'd just be nice to give more incentives for higher tier patrons without outright content blocking our normal patrons. Something like a "Cheat Mode" seems like it could fit the bill.

Alternative Repeatable Scenes

We had mentioned repeatable scenes in the open world, but I don't believe I had mentioned alternative scenes. 

Alternative scenes will be entirely new dialogue and/or locations, that you'll be able to visit with your lover.

For example, if you're past a certain point with Lily, Janice or Tara, you'll be able to choose Intimacy -> Missionary -> Location

• Tara’s Room (Day, unless it's their room)
• Janice’s Room (Day, unless it's their room)
• Lily’s Room (Day, unless it's their room)
• Living Room
• Closet
• Outside (Night)
• Kitchen

Certain locations wont always be available, such as the girls room, unless its theirs, Aren't available at night. They're sleeping in them. This should provide 7 new scenes for what was one scene. 

But that's not all, if you choose that girl's room, (example, Lily's room w/ Lily) you'll also have 7 more alternative dialogues (at least for missionary scene) making it 14 alternative scenes for just one character, which is 42 scenes for just the missionary intimacy action that you can explore at your leisure.

I think it's pretty great for a few reasons:

• Player agency for open world content
• Maximizes the efficiency of our current amazing animation & CG
• Gives players a lot more content all at once

I'm not sure how many actions we'll have at launch but we have BGs now to be able to do more than a few.

Roadmap Update

The roadmap was really always just a guide, but I wanted to give an update on a few things.

Firstly, the Christmas content was always a sort of after thought, so it's being scraped. We're much more focused on Open world, Pixie, and Pregnancy updates.

I kind of got hit with a lot of RL stuff this month, and on top of that is the Steam release, so basically we're looking at a October, November, December release schedule.

I've sort of realized the reality with "mini updates" is that it doesn't really work unless you have the infrastructure already in place. Then once you have the infrastructure in, you may as well add all characters, since it's already modular and ready.

Anyhow, that being said, I'm excited to finish the structure and get you guys more Woodchester goodness.

Linkia Update

On the logic side, I decided it's probably best to start small and work up to a game. So for now we're putting in something called "Analysis & Simulations". It's basically "What if" super hot erotic writing for your favorite characters, along with dirty imagery.
