I checked it and the pictures do not seem to be in order from 1 to 40 but rather scrambled all over the place

Oops it's not the pictures that are scrambled it's the numbers of each picture that are

They are not scrambled, if you sort them by name, they will be sorted correctly, trust me, they have a timestamp and sorting by name will fix it!
