This week, what if there was a man who dressed so fly that the CIA wanted him dead? What if you could defeat the CIA by carjacking a hot enough woman? What if you read enough books that you stumbled upon something important? Three Days of the Condor is a movie that asks and answers all of these questions, and we have brought on our producer and true 4th mic, Nate Bethea, to discuss it.

I think it provides a really interesting counterexample to the Bourne Identity. This is on Netflix and I genuinely recommend you watch it for a taste of shitty 1970s New York and Robert Redford dressing like a fucking don in every scene.

We got our wonderful producer Nate on this one, you can find him on twitter at

and follow his podcast Hell of a Way to Die, a leftist millitary podcast by and for veterans at https://www.twitter.com/hellofaway

*WEB DESIGN ALERT* Tom Allen is a friend of the show (and the designer behind our website). If you need web design help, reach out to him here:  https://www.tomallen.media/

I fell asleep listening to this episode last night and dreamt that due to a logistical error I ended up sharing an Airbnb with the KJB team. We watched this movie together and they commented, and any time I tried to comment Ms Thorne reminded me that I was having a parasocial dream and we were not friends in real life 😂

I genuinely just want to say that I fully subscribed to your Patreon because I was going through your backlog in prep for a long plane ride and saw you did a bonus episode on this film <3

(Anyway, pay no attention to my profile pic 😔)

The sad part is that this film doesn’t even have the most bafflingly awful sex scene in the 70s paranoid thriller genre </3
