Inspector Gadget is definitely in the Bond-wheelhouse, as the character is “just a stupid policeman”, who bungles everything but somehow manages to come out on top (this is my experience of the cartoon version, anyway).

Regarding transphobia in Austin Powers: I remember the problem scenes from the first movie but were the second and third as bad? I know that it's a natural fit for the podcast but could a compromise be watching the less problematic sequels (if that's the case) or skipping the upsetting scenes in the 1st movie? I'd be happy to help with timestamps if it let you all have a better time.

I'd love our beautiful hosts to confront those unpleasant issues and make it clear how abhorrent they are and why. But I would hate to cause anyone have a bad time either. As problematic as the scenes are, perhaps a health warning before at the start of the pod or a "skip ahead to nn:nn" to help folk who would rather swerve that stuff ? Or perhaps an "extras" mini pod which does tackle the issue but published separately ?

Chiming in on the "Is it Bond-ish" theme I would argue that The Incredibles is very Bond despite it being a superhero movie. The villain's lair, the music, the way they sneak into the facilities, the big plan to kill a bunch of people and show up as a hero... so if you are ever in the mood for it...

I've genuinely been dreading seeing Austin Powers pop up as a Bonus Ep so I'm really happy that ya'll are against enduring that psychic damage for #content. As you all mentioned there's so many things roughly related to theme, I'd rather listen to the crew talk about those than anything that made people depressed to watch.
