Fitting nicely with this month's Patreon theme, this is a commission I completed for the lovely Lianne Phillips of her beautiful owl Adina.

Lianne has this to say about her amazing companion:

"Meet Adina, a Southern Boobook Owl.
Originating in Australia. They're the smallest owl in the country, at about 25-35cm tall, with a wingspan of 90cm. As with a lot of owl species, the female is the biggest.

Boobook's, are part of the hawk faced family of owls.
Adina's species is the only owl in the world, that eats mainly insects.

Adina means Beautiful in Aborigine, which completely suits her.
Adina's fully grown now, at 8 months old.

Adina and her friend, visit schools, local residential homes, children's clubs etc. To make people aware of owls, and get the chance to touch and hold them. They raise money, for lots of different charities.

Adina, has a wonderful temperament. She Absolutely, Loves cuddles, and kisses. Once snuggled in and happy, Adina will fall asleep, constantly making content purring noises.

As stunning and beautiful as she is, Adina eats like a ganet.!! Given the chance, She will happily devour half a steak!! (And yes, she has done this )"

I can imagine! I'd never heard of this type of owl. I thought she might be a burrowing owl when I first saw it! Thanks for providing all the info and link...it was a real treat!
