Melanistic Barn Owl (Patreon)

Last post I introduced this month's Patreon theme: Owls!

I got some great drawing suggestions, and I will try my best to get to all of them :D 

Here is a melanistic barn owl <3 The coloration is caused by an increase in melanin, which gives the owl a darker pigment.  Unlike albino animals, melanistic animals are actually most commonly fitter to survive in their environments due to increased camouflage.
