Patchouli (hi-res / timelapse) (Patreon)

I finally drew Patchy (from Touhou)! I initially sketched her last year in June, but I didn't feel confident in turning it into color. Now I felt confident. >:3

I've always liked her design. It's like nun outfits, there's something saucy about the full dress. In this case, the gown makes for a fun shading challenge, trying to convey the anatomy below through the cloth.

Took me quite a while to massage the stripes and the face into shape, as well as the overall light composition. There was a good bit of fretting, trying to figure out how to make the lighting pop. I'm slowly learning.  

Over on the swimmer tier and above you can see what would happen if you were to shyoink the gown away. 👀
