🐺 Hank Howell Ep2: Storyboard 🐺 (Patreon)

Next Hank toon is here and he's gonna hunt the wabbit!

This is actually a very first idea when I created Hank back in January. I want a basic, old fashion cartoon where character are chasing. One want to eat the other. Stuff like that.

Basically Hank is chasing the rabbit and when the rabbit dig the hole to hide, Hank puts his hand in searching for the rabbit but ends up on the other side of the hole and grabs his own butt instead (he got the buns in the end)!

But I was feeling weak at the time so I ended up animate Hank introducing himself to gain my ability back. Thanks to everyone for keep supporting because it's a success! 

Now it's time to do this idea happen and make it better!

I'm making the cartoon bit by bit this time. I won't spend half a year to finish things and show them all at once anymore. Rather I will created it part by part, put them to watch on public service like YouTube. Once its all done then I will make a compilation of them <3 

This way I dont have to burn myself up and still have more energy to make the animation the way I want, frame by frame that is!

This cartoon, just like the rough sketches above, is about Hank hunting the rabbit name Billy Buns. Here are the character design process and voice acting sample!

Also big thanks to my friend Michael Reid for helping with the script in this board <3 He's been working with me since Wuffle back in 2012 and I recommend anyone who want some write on board to hire him! 

Alright, so the cartoon will ended at Hank found Billy and thats all. The next part will be made once this done!

We open a cartoon as a small 3:2 screen before Hank shows up and stretch the letterbox to it full 16:9 screen.

Hank introducing himself and scared the rabbits away. Except one mysterious rabbit?!

It's Billy Buns and he got so excited with the idea of Hank want his buns.

And then credits.

and I find its too boring lmao

As much as I want it to be as simple as possible, I want some WOW factor for the viewer and for myself to excited when making it.

So, what to do.

I love the technical aspect in film and aniamtion, plus, people always called my arts the East meet West style since I remember. I mixed that, and the idea came to mind that the last part should be present in anime style! Makoto Shinkai's aesthetic kind of thing. It's a good excuse to show the dramatic entrance of Billy Buns that suddenly everything turn into an anime, but with cartoony characters that move and act smooth like the golden age of animation.

It's gonna looks great I can see it!

I even play with the aspect ratio to slowly becoe 21:9 like, cinematic all of sudden lol Sigh im sucker when it come to things like this movie aesthetic XD
