January 2023 Summarize: Big Bad Hank - SD Unlocked! (Patreon)

I talk about wanting to make another cartoon shorts in 2023 In the previous post and it's gonna be a classic, old fashion cartoon tales about the misadventure of the a big bad wolf name Hank!

I have many proj last year but at the end of the day, I just want to make an old school cartoons XD

I love the cartoons from the 40s-60s era. Whether they are Disney, Warner Bros or MGM, they all have this simple story line driven by a character's motivation with funny scenario. Classic cartoons like these are the one that made me feel excited and motivated the most haha.

Introducing, Hank Howell: The Big Bad Wolf!!!

I want his design to be as generic as possible. As an homage to the classic cartoon wolf design, but at the same time he must looks distinguish enough too.

Tada!

Small head, big long ear, point cheeks fluff and a puff around the neck. His overall shape speaks to me XD But I think he's a bit too big. Need to make him a but more slim and narrow, to show that he's not eating much and always hungry.

Voilà!

He basically a triangle wolf. mean and sharp and cunning!

I don't dress him much but a vest and a red jeans are just right. Easy to draw, easy to animate.

Making a scenario where he met Little Red Riding Hood in the woods for BG and aesthetic design. The style wil lbe sketchy and gritty, like the xerox era of Disney during the 60s-70s

The good BG will have a characteristic that goes well with the characters and I think I got it now. The whole thing loosk like it came from the same place, same aesthetic and atmosphere. I'm super satisfied now and can't wait to make an anim short out of them!
