Here's the animatic, complete with synced music! The full short is made in 21:9 aspect ratio, aka a cinemascope or ultra wide (available in PSD tier), because I just sucker for anything cinema haha.

The short starts with the credits underground, surrounded by fossils. Then we pan up to see our heroes finding a spot to dig. Kati the cat wants to get famous by finding a dinosaur bone, and Pingo is there to help, good friend that he is. But Kati is just too impatient; she doesn't let Pingo eat a meal before work, and then keeps him from helping, slowly digging the bones herself 'cause she's doesn't wanna break them. Pingo is sad but then realizes it's gonna take forever for Kati, and before she finds anything, she'll become a fossil herself! So he helps her and they both get what they want.

The short doesn't have a proper story but is more of an idea, just like old cartoons that relied on funny scenarios and gags more than stories. It's about how Kati doesn't know how lucky she is to have a friend like Pingo, and how we should treat each other with love as much as we can! <3

The music I used is from http://musopen.org, a good source for free classical music recordings. You can support them here: https://patreon.com/musopen

The next update is: I'm gonna separate this storyboard into separate sections to see how many shots it will have, how many cuts will be in each shot, how many BG layouts I'll have, and lastly, to make a thumbnail that represents the whole short (beginning, middle, and end) and then do the color script based on it.

It might sound like a lot (yes, it is, lol) but now that the whole animatic is done, the rest is just following that lead and working on each section. For a 1:50 min short, it won't take long. I have one setting and a couple of big shots and that's all.

Then after that, I will start animating!

A fully, wider aspect ratio is available in HD tier.
All the animatic movie files in every aspect ratio and a full resolution of story board drawings pictures are in
PSD post.
