[Small Project] Sprite Preview #1: Natasha (Patreon)

Alright, let's get this out of the way first. Yes, I'm working on a small project on the side. No, it probably won't be good. It's actually very stupid—like VERY stupid. So please keep your expectation in check.

*sigh* You're probably wondering why I'm working on another project if I think it's not good when I could put all of these efforts into A Promise Best Left Unkept instead. Well, there are three reasons for that.

First, I have a personal rule when it comes to writing. I don't write more than a thousand words a day. But that's per story. I can write up to three thousand words a day if I feel like it, but I notice a significant diminishing return when I try to write too much on a single story. Of course, sometimes I'm very inspired, but most times I prefer to not put the quality of the writing in jeopardy if my ideas aren't firmly in order.

Second, even though I'm humble when it comes to my work and my skill, I still believe that, right now, the competition is almost non-existent. I can probably count on one hand the devs (that I know of, at least) that I consider my 'rivals.' So I truly believe that even the most horrible work I can come up with would be competitive in the current market. It's the unfortunate reality of the Visual Novel NTR market at this moment.

Third, this was meant as a test to see if I can work on a project on the side without affecting my main project. I have a ton of either stupid or difficult-to-market ideas that I want to test out. The only real way for me to do so is by creating small projects on the side without stressing over if they will work or not. So yeah, don't get your hopes up. Just see it as a bonus. If it doesn't work, it's not that big of a deal. Though I say that, but I'm sure some people will still give me shit for it.

Natasha

So this is Natasha, our main female protagonist for this project. She's a married woman close to her forties (though she would be angry if I said her age outright), and a housewife. She's rather direct when she says what she thinks. And although she's not stupid, sometimes her priorities are a bit… weird. She's married to an ex-gangster who's now a police officer. Her life is mostly peaceful… until… well… 

I know this doesn't give you guys much to chew on, but for now, that's all I can say about this project. Since next month is Christmas, I really wanted to have the first build done by then, but it's a lot of work, and there are probably a ton of things that I didn't account for, so I'm not holding my breath.

The only thing I can say for sure is that this project won't be updated monthly. I will only work on it when I have the time, and the updates will probably be closer to 8k to 10k words.
