I always try to have a certain form of dynamism in my scenes (regardless of whether it’s a sex scene or not). I think the investment in time is well worth it, and I find it kind of sad that the standard in visual novels is to plaster sprites on top of backgrounds and calling it a day when there are some easy ways to make a scene more engaging (with zooms, blur and panning, etc.). Of course, I don’t think the way I do it is anywhere close to being perfect, but at least I can say that I try.

So while fucking around with the sex scenes, I found it kind of neat to have a two-frame animation combined with camera movements, and sex sfx. So I implemented it in V0.6 (the sex scenes in Beth’s perspective). The thing is, with the lack of feedback, I can’t be sure that it’s actually a wanted feature. I’m just scared that by trying to do too much, I’m actually detracting from the overall experience of the readers.

So to make a long story short, should I keep doing the two-frame animation (when possible), or does it mess with your overall enjoyment of the scene?
