He Maid Her Fall V0.1.0 - Passed Out (15$) tier (Patreon)

This is the first version of my new "small" project. The small is in quotes since I haven't finished writing it yet and it will probably end up being around 200k words.

Here's a quick synopsis that I quickly wrote:

As Johnny thought his life at university couldn't get worse, Johnny's mother—Kate—is offered a job as a maid to compensate for the pain inflicted on him. The only twist is... her job would be to take care of the very person who hurt her son; his bully.

I've talked about it before, but I'll say it again: I'm doubtful that this will be any good. The pace is slower than I would have liked, probably because I'm writing Aya Edition at the moment which is on the slower side. Also, I didn't want to be too conventional, and I think it ended up hurting me. All of that to say, see this project more as a bonus than anything.

V0.1.0 is around 10k words, add 1 CG and 0 lewd scenes. It mainly introduces the characters/setting. I don't know how often I will be updating this project. If I could, every month, around 10k words, but I'm not sure it's feasible knowing that I'm alone with too much work already. So I won't promise anything. I'll just release it when I feel like it. Expect every two months just to be safe.

I'm using live2d for the characters. I'm still very new to the tech, and since I'm the one doing the animations... it's taking more time. Also, I pretty much add expressions to the characters on the spot. Every time I need a new expression, I stop, try a few things, and then see if it works. It's kinda fun... but long. Also, I'm missing the sprites of two characters... well, one now. It's taking so much time that I'm giving up on the sprite of one of the side characters. So the only sprite that is missing is the one for 'Gavin'.

You might also notice that most of the music pieces are original. I have two artists working on the music, but they are very slow, so I'll probably have to use some generic pieces as well. Right now, there's only one song that is not original in the game.

I had a lot of things to say about this project, but I'm currently drawing a blank. I guess I should just end with 'it will probably suck'.
