In Episode 06, during our discussion of the history of Egghead and Elmer Fudd, I spoke of a drawing animator Virgil Ross did at the time (1939, I believe, as it was with a bunch of drawings of the same vintage) in which he drew the bald, derby-wearing character labeled Egghead, despite the character being named Elmer Fudd in publicity and on screen in Tex Avery's A Feud There Was. Which, to my mind, proves no one who actually worked on the cartoons cared about making the distinction. Backing up animation art thoroughly is not one of my fortes, so I could never find it again. Lo and behold, patron and cartoon historian Devon Baxter had saved a scan, so I share it here with you guys here. And, yes, it is proof that no one but WB publicity were interested in the differentiation. I mean, who would? Enjoy!
