One thing that stood out for me this episode was how Veronica's "powers" can be used for both good or bad. The text messages were real, but she got the chairman to dismiss them. She broke in a doctor's office and stole private medical files and managed to let herself get caught without facing any repercussions. If she went the immorality route, she would be a massive force to be reckoned with, she can make a seemingly guilty person look innocent and a seemingly innocent person look guilty and is a really good manipulator if she wants to be. Also: For some reason, I laughed hard the first time I saw that dye pack go off and Keith's comment "you don't have to get all blue in the face" didn't make it any better. And right after there's the conversation with Weevil and the laughing continued.

I love this episode. Not just for Adam Scott and Leighton Meester, even though it's cool to see them. But like you said in your review, Veronica is wrong in this episode. While she is very smart and a really great detective, it's important for the viewer to see that she isn't perfect and personal bias can come into play. It's so fun to see Keith vs Veronica and to have them be on opposite sides including the ink dye gag when Veronica "cracks" Keith's safe. It's a good and interesting case of the week with a good hook but we also get movement with the lily Kane case. New details about Duncan and Abel. And we even get a third case about Logan's mothers suicide that is interesting too. And heck we even get a little bit of Veronica/Leo too. This is definitely a season 1 episode that sticks out to me as one of the standouts.
