Buffy..... bombastic side eye.... WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?? SMOOCHIN ANOTHER MAN AFTER SPIKE GIVES YOU YOUR STRENGTH TO KEEP GOING?? I am on Spike's side. Honestly, buddy, pop off. idk what your plan is, but go off.

lmaooo ANYWAYS, this episode was absolutely everything I love about this show in such an amazing episode... AHHHH THERE IS ONLY ONE EPISODE LEFT??? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I am freaking out, but I am also so excited to see how this ends out :')

The Guardian lady at the end making fun of Buffy‘s name is kind of an inside joke. The name Buffy was always chosen by Joss as a comedic thing. Back when he originally wrote the Buffy movie script in the late 80s the name Buffy was seen as like a stereotypical “ditzy, rich, valley girl” name. In fact, the Buffy from the movie version is much more of that original vision for the character than the show’s version. When Joss wrote the original story as a subversion of expectations where the ditzy blonde that usually dies in the horror movie is actually the one that is chosen to fight against them. The most unlikely of heroes at a time when very few stories had a young blond female as the lead. So that joke is kind of a callback to that.

It amuses me that over 7 years David went from good looking starving model (S1) to well put together working model (S3) to young corporate sales VP looking (S7). All from a character that's not supposed to age lol

I have a theory, and I even told James Marsters and he liked it: vampires with souls AGE. We never knew because they age a little slower, but since Angel was the first, there was no precedent. :) Then they can bring them back if they ever Reboot lol

I can't believe we are almost at the end here. it's been amazing seeing Alley's reactions. Of course the other episode was the most blatant display of fan service geared towardsthe BIKErs, it was almost fan fiction. So obviously they had to do damage control and bring Angel to make it very clear to the audience who Buffy's true love really is 😎

Aside from the cute spuffy moment in the house, and the moment between buffy and faith in the bedroom - i really dont enjoy this episode. It irritates me so, so much. I know its the final season, ep 21, but its sooo stupid! Buffys back and making smiles and jokes with the scoobies, saying xander is her strength etc, like their fight and kicking her out never happened. Were is the discussion, the making up? It maybe happened off screen (which is b/s to me!) but seems swept under the rug! Faiths just awake - when moments before everyone was worried she was really hurt and might not make it… The guardian woman, showing up out of the blue and dying immediately after a useless info dump… angel showing up totally out of character for all he has been through on his show (literally JUST lost connor and cordy! But nah, be all smiles and swagger like nothing happened…) buffy says she “was there” with spike then immediately kisses angel after he shows up (which i can understand on some level given their history, the thrill of adrenaline and battle and everything) but still!! Everything this episode feels rushed, forced, shoved in before the final episode. I WISH WISH WISH that they had spent more time on some of these things! Like, spread it out more. Less stupid episodes in the season (like buffy being a counsellor, the whole teen-boy-jacket episode, and a few others…) we could have had a much more rounded storyline focused on the scoobies and the bit of history, etc if they’d introduced things sooner rather than shove it in this episode to be like “yep! Here is a scythe and everyone is friends again!”
