Growing up is realizing Xander was a bad friend a lot of the time, and not a great person over all.

Good opportunity for me to mention again how much I half-wish season 6 had centered on BuffyBot rather than resurrecting Buffy. Lots of good material to be had with her exploring her identity and her role in the friend group, and an inversion of the romantic tension with Spike, with him being uninterested but BuffyBot still being in love with him despite Willow's best efforts (perhaps because she's taken on a life of her own beyond the raw programming?) But also, Warren is such a perfect villain for this alternate season 6, being BuffyBot's creator. The guy who already thinks of women as objects, having the ability to straight-up hack this robot's programming because he knows exactly how she works and thinks, forcing her to rise above that programming and achieve real independence in order to defeat him.

Something else that would be entertaining would be Buffy and the Buffybot together. At least more than they were in this episode.

I remember thinking, in season 6 premier, that we were getting BuffyBot and that Buffy was dead. I was PISSED. Felt totally ripped off that they would kill Buffy and give us a cheap knock off. In hindsight, lots of good story ideas, but I was not having it! LOL

"You're the Big Bad! You're the Big Bad!" I love how much the poet William the Bloody responds to so many cheesy lines from BuffyBot. Maybe he really was bloody awful, lol.
