It was so hilarious seeing your expression during the Connor stuff because you're gonna have that expression all season lmao

Carmen

Any Cordy episode is a fun one to me tbh. The Cangel moments made me have all the feels, loved seeing you enjoy those as well.

Knowing what happens this season, I personally find myself mostly not wanting to watch most episodes. I'll try to power through it somehow though.

But what does it mean? If you could care less, then that means you care, at least a little bit. If you couldn't care less, then that means you don't care at all. How does "could care less" function in the context of saying "I don't care" except through so much misuse that people commonly know what the statement means even though it's worded incorrectly?

Nebraska

You could chalk it up to a Freudian slip since he could actually care far less than he does.

Ron Fehr

lurker1316 I've had a similar thought in the past.

Jeff Cornell

"Could care less" does actually work as an example of "damning with faint praise". Semi-sarcastically phrasing things as positively as you can, and letting the weakness of that positivity express the overall negativity. It's "yeah, I could technically care less, so I guess that's something, but that's the most I can say".

Ron Fehr

Am I hallucinating, or did some comments get deleted?

The song Cordy sang is the same one she sang in Buffy S1 for the talent show tryout.

When you finish this season you should check out the fan remake of this season, the link has spoilers but it's safe to look at once you finish the season! https://www.tumblr.com/angelseason4revamped

Oh, that is AWESOME! Definitely gonna give this version a try, I can't believe I didn't know it existed!

Ron Fehr

This is just a random thought I had. With Cordy's memory loss, maybe Xander would have a shot at getting her back. If he didn't still have feelings for Anya.

Ron Fehr

Gunn, you're a sidekick.

The Second Coming Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. Surely some revelation is at hand; Surely the Second Coming is at hand. The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert A shape with lion body and the head of a man, A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun, Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds. The darkness drops again; but now I know That twenty centuries of stony sleep Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle, And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born? by William Butler Yeats
