UM.. what.. and I can not stress this enough... THE FUCK IS GOING ONNNN?? Goodness, this episode is an emotional roller coaster.. JOYCE!!!!! You better be in your best health by the end of the season <3 I simply won't survive if something happens to her :)

But yeah we also got Spike uhhh.. smelling Buffy's clothes.. 😃 I am tryinggg to be on the bike ship, what the hell is that, Spike??? 😭 And we also got Riley being.. a little sussy.. like?? buddy, what are you doing?

And we alsooo got the bad bitch of the hour, abomination/glory/queen <3 And she summoned a frat snake/mayor combo.. very cool, very awesome.

Sheesh, so much was going on in this episode!!

The biggest thing for me about buffy/riley is that Buffy first love was very traumatic. She loved Angel and her love turned him into a monster. Then he comes back and she said "i love you" right before she had to kill him. So s2 is Buffy learning her love is dangerous and hurts the people around her (jenny dying). The in s3, she still loves Angel but she can't tell him because she's not suppose to love him. But she still learned to share her love in other ways rather than just saying it. She shows her love with touch. She is constantly brushing dawns and her mother hair in this episode to give her comfort and love. As for her not talking to Riley, while I do think that she needs to work on her communication, that is something she learned too. She has had the literal weight of the world on her shoulders since she was 15. She takes care of and protects everyone, that is her job. She has learned not to lean on others because that puts them in danger and then she fails. But she asks Riley for help. Help taking care of Dawn, someone she HAS to protect for familial and cosmic reasons. He wants her to need him but she doesn't need him, she just wants him. and that isn't enough for him. When her mom told her that she would be staying in the hospital, buffy hid how she felt until she was alone. That's how she processes. But the moment he sees her at the end, he wants her to cry to him, and he's upset when she doesn't rather than being upset that she feels like her emotions aren't important. Also yes she didn't call him about her mom being in the hospital but it seems like she went outside, cried, and then had to go, its not like she could text him, and even if she did call him, he wouldn't have even been there to pick up because he was at the bar. She wants him to help with life stuff, in her eyes "buffy-buffy" stuff but he only wants to help with "Slayer-Buffy" stuff. I still firmly believe that when she asked him if he would want the split (5x03) he said no because he wouldn't want Buffy-Buffy, he would only want Slayer-Buffy.
