Saw an interview a while back where the directors and cast tallks about Nicolas twin, and sometimes if Nicolas was ill or otherwise unaviable, he would come in and play Xander for that day. and on the topic of living at home after 20. I think thats normal in USA, coz you guys have some stupid rent prices, in sweden you would get a good 3 room appartment for like $700 a month with heat and hot water included.

I keep trying to come up with a comment for this episode but my brain is all full of The Spoilers and they keep coloring what I want to say! Anyhow, I do think that while Riley's insecurity is not completely baseless, I also think he should be talking to Buffy about it, not Xander. A debate about whether Buffy does or does not love Riley could go on forever, depending on how you decide to define love, but in-universe Riley does not get to decide how Buffy feels. There's a lot of ways to express love besides the words, and it's also fair for people in a new relationship to arrive at love at different times, and the only way to know where you stand is to actually communicate with your partner when you perceive a problem. I (personally) do see Buffy as loving Riley but having trouble expressing it in words (especially since she did say so in words on Angel) but it would also be completely reasonable this early in a relationship for her not to be in love yet. There's no set timetable for falling in love. And given Buffy's history (which Riley knows) it is completely understandable that she would have trouble making herself vulnerable in that way again. In the meantime, she is tender towards and protective of Riley, and committed and faithful to their relationship. So in the end I feel a lot less sorry for Riley than the narrative clearly wants me to. He's torpedoing himself. I do really love this episode - Nicholas Brendon (and his brother) are in top form and the humor is peak Jane Espenson.
