With your like of Mike's Hard Lemonade you might want to give Twisted Tea a try. It tastes like sweetened tea. I'm 42 and I still get carded. Xander's job bar tending job was totally legit. I worked as a beer vendor at a baseball stadium when I was 18, which was the legal limit to serve alcohol. Getting paid by how much I sold made it frustrating to have people not buy from me because, "I don't think you're old enough to sell beer" or even, "I don't think you're old enough to sell beer. This feels like a setup". When I tended the outfield bar it was usually people with comped tabs so they didn't care who was handing it over. I never once carded someone though. Nobody talked to me about it and it never occurred to me.

Overstaying a legitimate visa is the most common form of illegal residency. I used hang with 2 guys from England who'd overstayed by over 10 years and had their own business. So, Giles visa wasn't a problem for me and the council probably considered the states a fitting exile for him anyway.

That's really interesting. If they had a business, does that mean that they were paying tax? If they were then they would need a social security number (probably the one that got issued with their original visa come to think of it). My point is their details would be on several government databases, so it's not like they could've hidden. So why were they never deported? There seems to be a bit of a double standard in who gets to stay versus who must leave.
