Render comparison (Patreon)

Hey guys

First off, I want to wish you all a very happy new year!

I truly hope the start of the new year is treating you better than last year, and if it isn't, well there's still a lot of it left so there's always room for improvements.

I wanted to share with you a comparison between two images...

One I rendered on the 7th of January and the other I did sometime around December of 2017.

I tried my very best to get the newer render lined up exactly as the older one, but still didn't quite succeed, but the aim was of course to show you, what I feel to be a significant improvement over my older artwork.

It's both due to countless re-rendering and re-re-rendering with different settings and lights and so on...

But it's also due to the fact that a lot of the time I spend in between actively working on the game I try and better my craft.
I read posts on forums, and watch videos and look at what other artists do right in order to try and get better quality imagery.

To tell you the truth, this is very much a true passion project for me and one I'm 100% dedicated to not finish without me being absolutely satisfied with it.

Now, to explain the content of the image better.

I did always have a soft spot for Luna, and felt that she did somehow fly under the radar for most of the players, so three guesses as to who I'm revisiting these days...

But I wanted to keep this post short, so that's really all for now and I hope to see you soon.
