Dev Log - 10/4/23 (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

It's been a while since the last dev log, but I wanted to give you guys another update on the progress for the next patch. I had hoped to have the update out already, but a combination of IRL work and more coding than I expected on the patch has caused a bit of a delay. I hope to have the update ready by the end of this month, but I can't promise anything with how my day job is going.

That's not to say there hasn't been good progress though! I've attached a video to this post showing off the new inn management system that I've been talking about basically since the beginning of the game. This system will really bring the management aspect to a game about...managing an inn.

Some features will include:

-Interactable, randomly generated guests

-Furniture sets and bonuses

-Decorations that increase the gold you make from guests

-Level up your inn to increase building options and income

-Special rooms that give global buffs to your inn

This will also integrate with the VN portion as the game. As you explore the town in the VN, you'll find places to buy and get new pieces of furniture and decorations. Also, increasing your relationship with the girls in the game will unlock new rare pieces of furniture, or even the plans for special rooms, which you'll be able to build in your inn.

On the other hand, building special rooms in the inn will give you the opportunity to unlock new scenes with girls whose relationship you've increased. Keep an eye out for girls stopping by for a visit if you're close enough.

So, with all that said, I want to thank everyone for their patience waiting for the next patch, and I hope it will be worth the wait. Patreon subscribers will have new artwork in the coming weeks to look forward to, and I'll be sure to keep everyone in the loop on progress for the patch.
