NEW PERK: Defencemen Percentile Timelines (Patreon)

This is going to be a big week on this site, as I'm going to be adding a lot of new perks and updates in the next few days. This is the first one: a defenceman percentile timeline sheet.

This will essentially mirror the forward timelines, allowing for:

• 5- and 10-Year xWAR timelines (like the one shown above)
• 5- and 10-Year Offence vs Defence timelines
• 5- and 10-Year xWAR versus timelines (like the one shown below:)

These sheets use a modified version of EvolvingHockey's Expected Wins Above Replacement stat which adjusts for individual shooting in order to remove a variable that has no year-to-year repeatability and often benefits or damages a defenceman disproportionately based on a few bounces going their way (or not).

Next up, I will be updating the WAR Roster Builder 2.0 to 2.1, adjusting the defencemen and goalie WAR values in a way that will create more realistic standings point predictions. Look forward to that, enjoy the defenceman sheet, and contact me if there are any issues.
