Patron Exclusive: WAR Contract Rankings (Patreon)

I'm going to be doing some stuff with this in the near future but I figure you guys deserve a first look for all the support you've given me.

The sheet linked here contains contract rankings of forwards, defencemen, and goalies using two kinds of WAR:

1. Projected on-ice WAR over the remaining length of their contract using an age curve.

2. Projected Cap Surplus WAR - this is connected to the market WAR value on the player cards. When a player is paid below his actual (or projected) value, he frees up cap space to spend on other players. I've turned that extra cap space back into a WAR value using a weighted formula considering the price of a win for forwards and defencemen.

I've also included RFA and UFA expiring players, using EvolvingWild's contract projections (which are usually very very good - even if the Ryan Strome one might be a little generous). Later on in the summer (when free agency actually comes), I'll be making a "Free Agent Signer" available to you guys that will look something like this:
