Howdy guys!

Didn't do one at the start of the month, but better late than never.

So in addition to writing, new chapters, I've got a good bit of editing I need to be doing. This is mostly on Morcster Chef Book 2 & Eldritch Bestie.

For Morcster Chef, I think a lot of people noticed that Book 2 wasn't capturing that same lighthearted energy that book 1 had. I'm going to be bringing that back into it, since that's what the MC series is really meant for. If you've got thoughts here, I'd love to hear them as well, but the main things I'll be doing is fixing tone in the darker portions of the book, adding some more cooking, and possibly modifying some scenes that just don't contribute to the novel's health overall.

I've been told that Eldritch Bestie transitions to high stakes a bit too fast and loses some of its charm. I've always meant for it to be a much higher stakes novel than Morcster, but I'll probably look into if I made the transition a bit too fast. Any feedback here would be greatly appreciated.

I don't feel like Steamforged needs any modification right now, although thoughts are still appreciated.

Thanks for your support all,

The tone and stakes of Eldritch Bestie is just fine. The sudden ramp-up is appropriate for the story being told. I would argue that what would help is background humour. There are multiple ways of doing it. Chrysalis added Leeroy Jenkins as a brief example. A little comedy would defuse the feeling of everything always being fast-paced and high stakes (it should be those things because we're talking about the destruction of the world and all future iterations).

So any chance we'll get a proper index for Morcster chef? I just started reading it, and it just jumps straight from chapter 4 to 60+ in book 1, where's the rest of the story? O.o

It was just published on amazon, so I had to pull it. PM me.
