Hey guys! we're finally checking out road to kingdom! I'm so excited to check these live stages that I've heard so many great things about and episode 1 stages did not Disappoint! 

*REAL QUICK - This episode was only in 720p so the stages were not the best quality so after the episode I re-watched them on YouTube to see them better but if anyone has found a 1080p option with good captions please send it my way! I don't want to keep having to re-watch live stages to see them better. Other than that everything else was fine.* 

I'm so not ready to cry while watching this show cause I already feel it coming haha

And the reason why some of the TOO guys might seem familiar is because 2 of them (Woongki and Seongmin/Jerome) participated in Boys Planet :)

HELL YEAH I'm so excited for your journey with RTK!! Especially since you said you don't know ONF or GolCha - I feel like they'll surprise you very much 👀 Seeing TOO/TO1 here is so bittersweet, I can't believe how badly their company is fucking up their management :/ The member you said looks familiar is Woongki, he was on Boys Planet alongside another member Seongmin (former stage name Jerome), who is now a OnePact member! ONF, TBZ, and Golcha were my favourite RTK contestants, it will be so fun seeing all their performances again :D (by the way yeah sometimes stages will just Look slightly off, because mnet cannot do good lighing work apparently :/) ALSO!! ONF debuted in 2017 so they're on the cusp of 3rd gen and 4th gen (more 3rd gen in vibe I'd say?). A lot of their music might have a particular ~Vibe~ for you because they work VERY closely with MonoTree, which are legendary kpop producers with a LOT of bangers under their belt, from Infinite to SNSD to 2PM to EXO to Loona to even SKZ! Cannot wait for next round for all the iconic songs!!

I came into this show for Pentagon but came away a huge ONF fan as well. Can't wait to see them on their Canada tour. I lolled when you kept mentioning WEi since I also love them, but when this show aired they hadn't even debuted yet (Yongha and Junseo were still finishing promotions with 1THE9 during this show). Pentagon, ONF, Golden Child are the 3rd gen groups on the show while the rest are Gen4.

I'm a new subscriber to your Patreon (joined when I heard about the Daily Drops this month) and I didn't know you were going to do RTK. I'm so excited! I love this show, it has some of my favorite performances. I knew most of the teams going in but I really fell for all of them during this show - mostly ONF (pronounced "On and Off") who stole my heart. You're right, they are slightly older than the other participants - slightly older on average than Pentagon. They all enlisted together (except for the maknae Yuto who is Japanese) last year and have now made a triumphant return! Their enlistment was very well managed, they even had new songs releasing then. Their music is just so good. Even before RTK their songs were known as almost cult classics among their small but very dedicated fanbase in Korea - "ONF's discography is great" was their hallmark, and it still is. They do really well in Korea! The other teams are also all great as well of course. Random fun fact - the leader of Golden Child, Daeyeol, is the younger brother of Sungyeol from Infinite! The hilarious guy from Golcha is Jangjun, and he's been doing the variety rounds for the last couple of years so he's also well-known in that way. It's a little bittersweet seeing TOO in here knowing how they've been mismanaged over the last year or so, and all the changes they've been through, but they really did so well here for a group that had literally just debuted a week before the show. I'm really excited for all the performances to come! Some of them are extremely emotional, some are incredibly powerful, and IMO they're all great and there are quite some unique and varied performances to come. The show itself also has just a fun vibe, mostly due to all of them being so nice and friendly to each other (and some incredible reactions from them, especially ONF's Wyatt and Jangjun) even though the elimination aspect really sucks. I know it's not very easy to watch this show unfortunately because of the site issues and also some people think just because we know the winner on Kingdom it's not worth doing RTK. But I genuinely think this is worth it and you will end up really loving all of these groups too!

Golden Child are my boys the 2nd group I ever stanned in Kpop. They are crazy talented, handsome and just amazing guys sadly they don't get promoted well enough by their company. Fun fact Golden Child were the only group on kingdom who had won on a music show with Wannabe which is a masterpiece. Also the leader of Golden Child is Daeyeol his brother Sungyeol is a member of infinite. Also the comedian is Jangjun he is the main rapper and loved by many people in the industry because he is literally a clown. I am excited to watch this journey with you again

Yeah but I would have to wait until the entire episode is over to watch it from YouTube because the website I’m using freaks out if I close out of it and it makes me lose my spot so I don’t really want to do that. It’s so annoying like why can’t I watch it somewhere that is stable 😭

I don’t really want to rank because people get really sensitive about ranking. I’m really just hear to enjoy The performances of the show and root for all teams. I may mention a performance that I enjoyed a lot but I don’t want to like make it like this was best and this was the worst you know?

yayyyy, I had a lot more fun with RTK than with Kingdom, tbh. This show made me a big ONF fan, they really grabbed me. I loved that in this first intro round they were one of the only groups to sing live, rather than just a dance performance. But all the groups do really well through the whole show, which makes it so much fun to watch.

This is my first time watching road to kingdom, and this is already so exciting. I also know who won, and I think i know who was second...but I'm hear for the jouney! I'm not ready to stan new groups man! Verivery, and oneus are already groups, I've been meaning to get into more, but ive been ignoring that earge. Their songs are so good. I'm scared I'll end up stanning! For the performances. The boys and Verivery's entro were shoking! Pentagon, and Goldenchild left me speechless! They were my favorite. Ommgggg my Woongi Boy!!! Ps. I'm glade he looked familiar, if you didn't recognize him at all i would have been sad, he was in boys planet😁😁 but Too where very stable for a rookie group, and it makes me very curious to know what happened to them fr. their performances definitely shouldn't have gotton last. The last fouth places seemed biased ngl. Onf's performances wasn't memorable for me if I'm honest, but I really liked the song :) and lastly freaking oneus, they stay haunting me! Similar to how they were begging to go first(they did them So Wrong BTW🤣😭), but it's like they be begging me to stan then. Because I swear I see the members everywhere. Like i might know the members before I know their songs. Like I couldn't name one of their songs with confidence, but i know their group introduction...?????🤔Anyways I like how they went all white, it made their performances look really neat and smooth :) Thank you for the reaction!! Two survival shows at once though!!???Girlll!! I'll be on the ride with you though! ;)

you can try watch it on VIU cait! it’s for free but with ads in between just like yt, and you can get the premium one for no-ads ^^ there are great kdramas there too~~~

maybe you thought WEi was on here because all of the members debuted or where in different survival shows lol, like producex101, under19, produce101 S2, yg treasure box xD About the ads in those websites you can try with adblockers from google chrome extensions in websites like dramacool or any other website

Hi Caitlin! I know this might be late but if you do plan on watching the stages once again after each episode, even in your free time, I recommend watching the Youtube videos that has the "Full Ver." on its thumbnail since it doesn't have the random reactions scattered throughout the whole performance. I think you'll appreciate the performance more through it!
