HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE! we have our last NCT Unit EVER! Congratulations to the team! I can't wait to see them debut and cheer them on. This is only the beginning! there's still much more that lies ahead for them and I can't wait to see them grown through it all! 

I honestly did NOT see this line up happening HAHAH i was really surprised at the people who ended up making it but I hope that those who didn't make it keep pushing and maybe some time soon we can see them in another group! 

I am so excited to see the new unit with the rest of the NCT members!!! we literally have 27 members now LMAOOOOO but so excited to welcome them to the FAM! 💚

I am really rooting for Minjae, I just see him being an NCT member so I felt sad when he didn't make it. I don't think he is a bad dancer though.

Thanks for the reaction. Can't believe we have a line up. Only 1 EP is left. Really enjoy the show. Personally I really like this line up. Still said about minjae because he became one of my favorites trainees on the show. But I will wait for him to debut. I believe he will comback stronger. It would be good if SM would introduce the remaining trainees as SM Rookies and would post content. Its a good opportunity for the new members ton join NCT nation. And as I remember they will be no beyond live for NCT nation. Japan are very strict with fans taking pictures and filming so I don't know if we even can see any stage of them. So the debut plan seems to be in December because they will have a pre debut showcase around Japan in 10 cities till December. Can't wait for the next episodes they seem already chaotic 😂

I'm so proud of all of them! I'm actually satisfied with the new members. Such a good line up! But at the same time I'm also sad for the others who did not make it. I love them all and I'm attached already 😭 If only we can make them debut all these trainees 😢 With RIKU and JUNGMIN, I'm also pretty much confident that they're both gonna debut because they've been very consistent throughout the show although at the very last moment I got a little nervous for Jungmin tbh. Riku is my fave and I'm so happy that he made it! He's so NEO fr 👏 Jungmin makes me smile everytime I see him 💚 With RYO, I almost lost my hope already that he's gonna make it because these past few eps he's been getting less attention and exposure but I'm sooo happy that he did so well on the last mission. He's my son y'all 🥹 and the fact that all the directors fought hard so that he could be added in the group, that made me cry 😭 Thank you so much for the reaction Caitlin! I am so excited about the new line up! Honestly, them picking Ryo above Anderson shocked me, but I am also thinking that maybe they wanted atleast 4/7 trainees to be Japanese as its going to be a Japanese unit? Idk, both are obviously amazing performers haha Also, I am hoping to see Yuta with his small army of Japanese sons now soon ^^

NCT is my ult group and I've been pink-blooded since 2007 so I was heavily invested in this show. What I loved about it was that there was no forced negative drama or animosity. It really showed the high standards they needed to achieve, the teamwork and gratitude the trainees had for each other, and sense of respect they had for the history and legendary artists of SM. I loved that the feedback was respectful. Even if it was hard to hear at times, it was still constructive and with good intentions. To get feedback from every generation of SM, from 3 decades of experience in all areas of music and entertainment, is truly mind-boggling. I totally cried during this episode. Ngl Riku is my favorite, and I just felt his genuine relief and appreciation. I was a bit disappointed that Anderson didn't debut- I think he has a lot of promise- but I am satisfied with the line up. I think they have a team with a lot of potential. I did not expect Sakuya and Ryo to debut, but they really impressed me this episode. They are still very young and I can see them really improving in the future. I'm super excited to hear and see them perform their own songs, especially with more time given to practice. The vocal trio of Yushi, Jungmin, and Daeyoung is going to be amazing.

I'm very happy with the final line up! 3 out of 4 of my pick actually gets in. But eventually throughout the show I started to like them all. I'm glad they didn't do open votings for this. Anyway, thank you so much for being positive about the final lineup. Sion is already my bias, he's so cute! He looks like young Jaehyun at some point. I like Yushi too, he gives off an elegant-cool vibe. ❤️

I'm so sad about Anderson and Minjae, 2 of my favorites. Anderson always caught my eye and amazed me every performance. Minjae reminded me of "Doyoung mom". He was always encouraging and comforting the others even when he was having a hard time as well. I'm so happy my other 3 favorites, Jungmin, Riku and Sakuya, made it! I feel like all 3 of them had a chemistry together when we would see them playing around. So so happy for them!! Oh and my biases are looking like Sion because that boy wrecks me every time and Jungmin because I cannot help but smile when I see his adorable face! Honestly, this is not the group I pictured, obviously. But I'm still excited to see them with the NCT boys and see and hear their own Neo sound ☺️ In the words of my Moon Taeil.... LET'S GET IT!!!!

i'm already seated for the next full nct album to hear daeyoung and jungmin with taeil, doyoung, xiaojun, and renjun on the next ballad LIKE 😭💚 i'm super happy with this lineup!! sion is gonna be a great leader as he was throughout the show, and yushi is a great balance for him! at first, i was also still a little apprehensive, but they both way way way surpassed my expectations as the show progressed, and i'm glad their debuts were secure from the start. i was a huge fan of riku and daeyoung throughout so i'm glad they both got in, and like you said, riku just BLEEDS neo like that boy is for sure gonna fit in great!! daeyoung and jungmin both are gonna be such a good vocal core for this new group, with yushi and sion serving very versatile positions too!! a little surprised with sakuya and ryo, but i'm sure between when they filmed the show (seems like jan/feb, since haechan had just finished candy promo) and now, they'd have improved tons! also v happy for ryo, another successful nctzen 😭💚 overall very excited for them to make their appearance at the japan stop for nct nation!!!! their set is gonna go crazy none of us know what to expect 😭 other than the quite expansive "neo" sound that nct has, i'll be v curious to find out how their discography will sound and feel~!!

Uff, I was dodging the spoilers all day today, thanks for uploading so quickly! What a great show this was. I agree with some of the other comments, I am sure they wanted more Japanese members for this unit but Anderson and Minjae I am sure we will see them again as part of SMRookie in the not so distant future. Are there any SMRookies now as all the ones I knew now had their debut?!! There will be a team in a few years time they will fit in perfectly. I really like those 7 together (and I KNEW they would add somebody last minute!!). Looking forward to the last episode!

I'm pretty much satisfied with the line-up actually! I loved all the boys and wished them well, but the final members to debut were picked for a reason, and I can see why others weren't, especially with Kassho, Ryu, Heitetsu. Haruta was pretty good to me, but compared to the chosen debutants, I guess he lacks just a tiny bit. Minjae. Sheesh, I am devastated with his ranking, I loved him in all performances and especially in 'Why'. Honestly, I can't see a big difference in skills between him and Daeyoung. But I guess they couldn't pick both because they would take the same niche in the group, and the other important thing is that Daeyong showed such results after 3 months of training, while Minjae trained for 2 years already, hence the ranking. Daeyoung is really impressive though. I wonder how quickly he'll get super good at everything, he's such a quick learner and has a lot of natural talents. With Anderson, he has dance skills, confidence and charisma. I dare to think that the only reason for him not to debut in Japanese NCT unit was the fact that he's a foreigner both in Japan and Korea. Considering the unit will debut pretty soon, him not speaking the languages would make it more difficult to communicate within the unit and the company and promote. My guess. I agree with the reasons why the judges added Ryo to the debut line-up. I felt he sometimes was overshadowed by other talented members, but we all remember the great 'Chewing Gum' performance and he really shined so much in '90's Love'. Same with Sakuya, and he really proved himself at the end. What a cute maknae line we have now! Riku is so good! Just like you noticed, he was always showing his neo-energy and his last two performances are my favorite. I never doubted he'd join the unit. And I think we all will be bias wrecked by him at some point sooner or later lol. Jungmin too, his vocal tone is just so unique and powerful, I felt like they had no choice but to let him debut haha, especially considering how he carried all the performances on his back with his high notes. Also, he really is so cute and charming in a way! I hope he'll learn how not to strain his throat, as BoA said. Sion and Yushi... Well, they have that star quality already, they proved it every single time. I think, Sion is my bias already, I love his vocal tone, his charisma (judges are right about his 'chameleon' ability), and moreover his bubbly personality, he's so smiley and supportive. I think he's already a great leader and I feel he's officially going to be one. Yushi can be a bias wrecker, although he's very shy and (for now) seems to be a closed person offstage, his image on stage is so powerful and I like his voice too. Overall, I'm very excited about the new unit and I can't wait to see them debut. I loved the show. And Caitlin, I don't think I would start watching it, if it wasn't for you, so thank you for that! Loved your comments and opinions on this, and it was fun watching it together with you! ❤️

I saw many people worried or were not happy about underage members but, for me honestly, I think it is the necessary evil. They will bring back some cutesy playful and youthful musics, tracks like Chewing Gum or We Young, to the NCT brand. Not only for their own group but it is also for the competitiveness of the industry. They just can't ignore the market that has teenagers as the majority and their various rival groups that also consisted of pre-teens. I'm so excited for their upcoming contents and waiting for the unexpected joy that I'll get from them.

I think it's that but also everyone seemed to be so charmed by Ryo's personality. In this episode pretty much all of the judges were smiling at him and he does really shine on the more energetic stages too. I think that's part of why Jungmin got chosen as well, his personality left an impression. I def hope Yuta gets to meet them too!

I'm pretty satisfied with the line up! I think the reason some got chosen over others is just that they had other skills that stood out or a personality that stood out. For example Jungmin over Minjae, although I hope Minjae keeps trying or even just tries being a solo singer because his voice really is great. I was thinking if Riku didn't get in I was gonna eat my shorts lol he knocked it out of the park every time, he's adaptable to like everything. It's very cute that Sakuya and Ryo both got in, I bet they'll be extra close and Ryo really is sweet everyone was cheesing over him lol. I was shocked that Daeyong got in but it makes sense, I just hope he doesn't feel a lot of pressure since he didn't train for very long. Felt bad for Anderson but maybe they wanted someone who spoke Japanese or Korean more so I sort of get it, though it did seem like they wanted to bring him on to have another Mark ngl lol. Hope the ones who got in celebrate with fun and good food and the ones that didn't comfort themselves by doing the same and keep trying lol. Interested to see what direction they'll go in when they debut.

Ever since Daeyong joined the show I just had the feeling he would make it. His vocal, his presence, his visual, everything about him stood out to me, and it came to the point that I looked forward to the units that had him in it. Definitely a potential bias for me! I was going to be so bummed if he didn’t make it tbh. Other than that, Riku was one of a kind amongst this group of trainees and fit in right away. In the beginning, I was sure Anderson would make it, but as it came closer to the end I wasn’t as confident. Ryo had my heart from the beginning! He is just the cutest and there’s something about him that just brings a smile to my face every time I see him. Sakuya surprised me every performance, he always did better than I expected, but I thought he would need a bit more training to debut, so he was the most shocking debut announcement to me, but I’m glad he’s in it with Ryo so there’s two young ones and he’s not just a standout with his baby face lol! I can’t wait to see how the two of them grow. Jungmin has a one of a kind voice, just out of this world, but his stage presence held him back in my mind a bit bc while he has an amazing voice, you could tell he was always thinking and never showed facial expressions. And since his vocal is so different I felt that maybe his voice would suit a different group but we’ll see! I really like his personality too. For Minjae, I never thought he would make it to this group. To me he’s just an amazing vocalist, but that’s it, he’s not a good performer overall. Not to say he’s not talented, he just needs some more training to get that stage prescience, dancing, and facial expressions down. I like Haruta a lot and he improved every performance. Idk, I just never considered him to me in the lineup for whatever reason. Kassho could not give facial expressions as everybody saw, so if he can get that down he’ll be so much better. And Heitetsu is really tall and lengthy and didn’t seem like he knew how to control his limbs in a way that caught my eye. Overall I’m very satisfied with the outcome and I can’t wait to see what this unit’s got!! I can’t wait for more interactions with other NCT members!!

I am so happy for the trainees that are getting to debut. I cried watching this episode because I can't help but to root for every single one of them. Anderson not debuting makes sense if you really think about it. He has to catch more than the other trainees might in the sense that he has to learn Korean and Japanese. Still broke my heart to see him cry like that. Eunhyuk put it best: Anderson was made to be on the stage. He is a born performer. I am sure we will see him debut one day!! Out of the debut line-up, I really hope that Jungmin gets out of his head. That seems to be the biggest thing for him. Sion attacked everyone in this last mission during Boss. Like sir. please. why are you always doing the most. Also not related to the trainees/debut team but.....Leeteuk is looking FINE. That man is aging like some classic red wine or something.

Going into this episode, with the thought that we’d likely get five new members, I had my bets on Riku, Jungmin, Sakuya, Anderson, and Daeyoung. So the one that surprised me was Ryo. However, I totally get why he was chosen over Anderson from both a skills perspective and a group dynamic perspective. Actually, I think that while it would’ve been cool for Anderson to debut as an NCT member, it would’ve been asking a lot of him to learn two languages at the same time. I also think that assuming he stays as an SM trainee, SM maybe wanted to keep a charismatic English speaker for a group that is less focused on Japan. I don’t know, just some thoughts that came to mind. I thought I would link you a cute little video that SM posted today featuring the members, in case you were interested in checking it out. I have been an NCTzen for 5 years and an SM Stan for 8 years. I'm proud to know NCT and it's cool to be a fan of a group that has a cool concept unlike any other group. NCT as a whole always has a lot of surprises, they are a very hardworking group. Riku was my choice from the beginning, he is very charismatic and confident that he can do well. He's always full of surprises on stage. I've watched the new member introduction video on youtube and I learned that riku is the king of confidence. He really likes his handsome face LOL. I'm proud of her debut.

Just a couple of thoughts... no need to drag this out longer than it needs to be. I think this unit will work well together and make great music. I am a little concerned with NCT releases as a whole now. We've seen the neos enter more grown concepts in their songs and visuals (*cough cough*... Poison and the BAT). On a positive note with a younger team, as the older members start enlisting, that will give this unit some time to shine and promote. It's unclear if any of the members speak English and if not, they would be the only NCT unit to not have any English-speaking members. I worry about international promotions in that case since NCT is pretty popular all over the world. I understand that SM wanted the final say with who would be in the group, but all I have to say is that if this had any level of public input, you know Anderson would be in there. I'm pretty sure he already has his own fandom. 😂

I'm a little surprised that you haven't seen the "Boss" dance practice yet. Actually, it's what made me an NCTzen. Btw, when you saw the video of Taeyong dancing in the water, that was from one of his freestyles. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE for you to do a Taeyong freestyle dance marathon. He actually has a lot. The ones that he makes videos for are actually quite artistic. The one for "Paris in the Rain" is my favorite. Anyway, I also appreciated Taeyong's words to the boys. Such a great leader! It'll be interesting to see how the new members assimilate with the rest of the group. Thanks, as always, for your lovely reactions!

I am so excited for this new team! The results were very shocking, but I am so happy for them! To those who didn't make it I hope this helps them grow faster and hope to see them be able to debut soon! I am so excited to get to know this knew team and see how their dynamic is! From only seeing some of their personalities throughout the show I think they will fit right in to the chaos all NCT groups bring!

I love this debut team. Cannot wait for their debut. Sion, Riku, and Yushi are impossible to ignore. Jungmin and Daeyoung will be an amazing vocal duo. And Sakuya and Ryo are gonna kill that aegyo. I figured as soon as they brought Daeyoung on the show, that they planned to debut him…otherwise why bother bringing him on halfway through? That would have been kind of cruel IMO. Unpopular opinion but Anderson was not my favorite. He seemed to me like he was always concentrating on himself, never the team. He gives off solo vibes to me..I could really see him working in the US as a solo artist TBH. I hope Minjae, Kassho, and Haruta can keep training and debut later. I grew to really like them as well. The artist directors were amazing on this show, but the stand out guy for me was “Uncle” Jang (was that his name?) he was so helpful and kind and you could tell he cared about the trainees. I hope he continues to have interactions with them after debut. He was just fantastic.

I called it! hahaha my comment from the last episode was right about them debuting as 7 members. I already watched the episode immediately after it was released and tbh I had PTSD. I was right about 4 out of the 5 members debuting I just did not expect Ryo being the last pick instead of Anderson. BUT, after rewatching it again here, I kind of understand now what vibe they are trying to make with this unit. I feel like we are going to see a NCT Dream like unit (for now since they're very young) from them so from that perspective I see why they picked who they picked. Regardless, as welcoming NCTzens let's welcome these boys regardless if they're your picks or not and let's protect them at all cost! Thank you Caitlin for your reaction to these episodes and I love this about you that you are such an open minded person that although you may disagree with some things you still keep an open mind and try to see the vision from a different perspective as well.🤍

Thank you for reacting. I feel like I manifested Sakkuya & Ryo's debut lol I want to keep youthfulness in NCT especially with the Dreamies maturing their music & style lately. I know alot of people wanted Minjae & Anderson instead to have a grown concept but I feel like WayV & 127 already gives us that & Dream is going that direction already so I love that line up. It did hurt me that Minjae didn't make it since I love his personality he was such a mom with the trainees he reminded me alot of Doyoung which is probably why I got attached. I also think his skills were similar to the other two vocalist they all got critiqued for the same thing which is dancing & stage presence but I guess considering it's a Japanese group they could only choose two. Which is dumb to even have more then one Korean member in a Japanese focused group but I guess. I think SM just want the memebers to be loved & recived well when they debut so that's why they made two different groups instead with Riize & NCT Tokyo but that's another conversation lol My biases already are Sion, Sakkuya, & Riku for sure with a potential wreckage from Ryo & or Daeyoung. I'm soo excited for next episode to get to know them & see their team work. So far I've only seen pairs here & there like Sion & Riku or Sion & Yushi, Ryo & Sakkura, & Daeyoung & Minjae had really good chemistry too but I'm sure we'll see the bond between all of them soon.

Someone posted on IG about the SM 3.0 plan of debuting another group next year. Of course, it's not final yet coz there might be some changes but if that is really the case, I would love to see Minjae and Anderson debut in that group

my top 4 made it! jungmin, riku, daeyoung and sakuya. Jungmin.. protect him at all costs like im so excited for him it's crazy, definitely my new bias. As for the fifth place it was between ryo and anderson for me as well honestly. I think in the end ryo made it over him because he's japanese (not taking anything away from him ofc, he's incredibly talanted and I can't wait to see him grow and become a cool member of nct) I just knew they had to add more japanese members since they are gonna target the japanese market. they probably would have been criticised if there was more korean/foreigner members than japanese.. I knew as soon as daeyoung entered that minjae wasn't gonna make it, I liked minjae and he had really good vocals but for me he didn't have "that" on stage so I kinda agreed with the judges.

I had this line up down to a letter haha I was betting on Ryu instead of Ryo, since his vocals were no joke, but I guess SM didn't want to gamble on putting out someone who hasn't trained for a significant amount of time. I do hope they don't feel too pressured going into an established and really popular group like NCT. It will be hard, because I know people will be second guessing them, telling them they're riding on the earlier member's efforts/popularity and that they don't deserve to be called Neos. So I hope they prove the haters wrong! Thank you for reacting to Lastart this whole time <3

I thought Minjae fit in well with the older members as well but it’s is what it is. Also for Anderson; I thought he did really well too but I can see why they didn’t pick him. I think he stuck out more as an individual performer and also him being in a Japanese/Korean unit when he doesn’t know both of the languages very well could be a cause for concern for communication issues. Now rewatching this I can see the synergy they were trying to create with the team. I wish nothing but success to our new unit as well as the other trainees 🙏🏼
