i love them individually but even watching the original video and your reaction at 1.5x speed, i truly FELT the long pauses like they were LONG 😭 i also think that at the time of release, they for sure wouldn't have worked together on any project yet because this was pre-resonance! (even then, i don't think taeil and jeno have been in a U track together until the bat, which is wild) jeno and taeil will probably have a better chance getting along without being forced to sit there and do aegyo at each other for an hour at the hands of doyoung and renjun 🤣 still, definitely a memorable episode for how awkward they were 😭 that said, i've always appreciated the awsaz series for showcasing the members interacting across units, especially since this was like CRUMBS back then that an nct-wide project was on the horizon!! super appreciate your reactions to these, caitlin <3

I honestly think they’re a bit awkward because both Jeno and Taeil have the personality type where they are including in conversation and not ones to start conversation. This is why they work well with other members who are more likely to engage them. Both are not the types to take initiative, easy going and wiling to follow. I think that’s why it was quite easy for them to follow what they’re told to do even if it’s awkward. Also Taeil and Jeno have know each other for sometime as they were both in smrookies team before their official debut so I think if they had better mediation it’d be less awkward, but the point of the series is to see the members be awkward with one another as NCT is filled with sub groups and friends of different ages and experiences.

actually taeil and the dreamies are really close and not awkward at all, they spent times together and chenle invites him at his house many times, he's called the 8th dreamies member haha. And just after this episode taeil and jeno went live and they said they did it on purpose just to give contents for the fans lmaoo they arent awkward with each other but at least the video made us scream

NCT 2020 Resonance promotions started in September, so this was was around the time they were all practicing and preparing for that album and mixing for the 2nd but longer time since it's a 2-part album..
