When they announced they were adding another I didn’t know what to think. But I was glad it was a boy most of them already knew. Just imagine how they would feel if a boy they didn’t know came in .

annsavreh26

Ikr! I don't want to see any drama, i just wat these boys to enjoy the process whether they make it or not

B2023316

So that’s been the case and it will probably stay that way. Shows that are run like this like how &audition was run usually don’t have drama like most regular survival shows.

Em

oh that was a case in the monsta x survival show and it was milked for drama so much :/

eve_ss

It will have a total of 8 episodes btw! I feel like RIKU and JUNGMIN have the highest chance of debuting rn. I'm actually at almost 100% sure that they will debut. They've been very consistent with giving such good performance and the directors love them too. I hope this came true tho! 🙏🏻❤ For the remaining spots, I honestly don't mind on whoever can make it because I'm loving all of them. I'm so attached already 😭 I will be a mess once they announce the final members for sure.

Isa

They are so good, even the guy that placed last both times would score so high in a program like Produce. It's really the 'worst' of the best in this show haha

Ami

omgg they’re doing electric kiss???😍 gotta tune in for the next week’s episode

johnbanana

I think the last mission would be NCT songs. Can't wait!

The U team did so much better than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise! While I feel bad for Anderson moving down in the rankings, I appreciate that other members were able to move up and it’s not always a case of ranked low, stay low. At this point I feel like Riku and Jungmin are the most likely to debut. I can tell that the judges and the show really like these two just from the way they’ve been edited. I also think Anderson has a good shot if he can pull it together and really shine in the next two missions. I’m not so sure about the fourth person, but because of the emphasis on vocals it feels like it will be either Minjae or the new guy Daeyoung. I think they’ll probably decide that it’s too early for Ryu and that he needs more time to polish his vocalization before debut. I’m really scared to see these guys perform TVXQ. It’s giving me Lucifer energy in that the song has a notoriously difficult reputation. I really hope the trainees can take Max’s advice well so I can relax and enjoy the performance instead of mostly feeling anxiety like I did when watching Lucifer.

I was literally thinking since shinee and suju went last time that tvxq and exo would be a good next pick and I guessed right woo! Out of the options the teams were picking I thought that Electric Kiss would be a good pick, it's an exciting song. Maybe you could react to it before the next ep comes out to avoid being spoiled lol? And yeah that tvxq song is amazing so def looking forward to seeing how they do that one. Also really excited to see what this new trainee can do!

Rosie

I feel like with the added trainee they should change the debut lineup to seven members. I think choosing five trainees to debut makes more sense. I'm hoping sm throws us a last minute change.

caitlinbenson

I definitely agree! I also think Anderson has a good chance as well! I’m still not sure tho 😭 haha and SAME I’m definitely going to cry cause I’m already attached

caitlinbenson

LOL if I had unlimited amount of time I would react to it but that’s something I don’t have so most likely I won’t be able to. It’s fine I still wouldn’t have seen the MV for when I get to it.

mrdeejayxx u_u

Not Caitlin mispronouncing “uno card” as “yoo-now” which is Yunho the duo of Max in TVXQ 🤭🤭🤭

pup_kay43

Personally I think making the trainees do a song like Put your head down/WHY by tvxq is was really too much. I mean there's a reason why no idol has ever covered this song vocally. Especially the high note vocals in the song that's really for those with experience. So my heart goes out to them and I'm hoping for the best. Oh and when they say they needed more vocals, i think there referring to trainees who can get to those high notes perfectly, so far only jungmin and minjae are able to do that. Otherwise from that I'm really liking the show and thank you again for your reaction

I think Sion and Yushi are stable, but I do believe Daeyoung's addition (as others have pointed out already) was to further supplement the final unit's vocal line? Kind of like how every unit right now has at least 3-4 mainest-of-the-main vocalists, the New IP TF Team probably wanted a similar structure with enough strong vocalists to off-set already stable singers and rappers. I agree with another commenter, Riku and Jungmin are probably sure bets for the line-up at this point, they've been consistently killing it both talent-wise and personality-wise. Riku's also grown to be MY GUY at this point, like he's just got this presence that I think the final line-up needs! Other than them, I think I'm right now rooting for Daeyoung even if he's new because I kind of agree with the Directors, this final unit needs to be able to have a strong vocal line-up, not just because they're an SM group, but also because most of NCT are excellent, top-tier vocalists. I mean, the New IP TF Team handpicked him to join the show for a reason, so I don't doubt that he'll likely be very talented, so I'm excited to see what he brings to Team TVXQ!

Michelle Ricci Mojado

I feel like Riku and Jungmin are the two trainess who have the higher chances of being an NCT members given their performances for the last 2 missions. I mean, they may noy be happy with their performances, but we can all see the that they’re always included in the top 4. As for the remaining trainees, I will feel very sad for them when this show ends, however, I think they will not be forced to leave SM and will be allowed to further enhance their skills and hone their talents. 🥹

Bubub

Daeyong giving me baekhyun vibes idk if its the visual or energy

Nat

Minjae is out here shook when he saw he had to do "Why(Keep Your Head Down)". I'm afraid for him and that entire team. I have yet to see anyone ever cover this song so this will be interesting but that song is so hard. I knew a TVXQ song was going to show up at some point. I had hoped it would be Mirotic. That song is difficult but like Sion (or Yushi?) said, with "Why" you have to bring fury in that performance, I think that will require more energy than Mirotic even might. Also not the U team slaying in front of two SuJu members!!! I loved that performance!!! I was so happy to hear their vocalists get props from Ryeowook too. And then we have Eunhyuk becoming a fan of Riku lol

Sunflower

Since the mood teaser and main trailer were released, jungmin and riku have been getting attention. Even riku became the first trainee to be introduced through NCT Universe's Instagram. The judges especially eunhyuk liked riku more and more. Am I the only one who always sees that riku is often placed next to yushi, and jungmin is always next to sion. Maybe I'm expecting too much but looking at the 6-person shadow footage in episode 1, I can already see jungmin and riku's posture. They already fit well together, hope they debut.

I had soo much fun watching the latest episode here first! About the judges pointers on how some members do not stand out as much, I actually thought hard about it and came to the conclusion that what we see as viewers is very much different from what the judges actually see. What we see is the edited version already meaning the edit highlights whose singing which part like a fancam of sorts whereas the judges only watch them live and upfront so it can't be helped that others would stand out and grab their attention more than others. But hey, at least we get to see their charm as viewers and how much they've grown from previous episodes. Thank you Caitlin for your hardwork! I am also almost sure that Jungmin and Riku are gonna debut. And based on how SM builds their groups. There's always an English speaking member present and here's proof from what I know (Sorry i'm not sure about TVXQ since I only know them to be fluent in japanese)HAHA BoA Super Junior - Siwon, Kibum Girls Generation - Tiffany, Jessica Shinee - Key F(X) - Krystal, Amber Exo - Lay, Kris Red Velvet - Wendy NCT - Mark, Jaehyun, Johnny, 3/4 of Way V, etc. Aespa - Giselle, Ningning Riize - Anton

sazeuni

I really like Riku and how he shines on stage. He looks completely comfortable and confident on stage. You can see that he really enjoys what he’s doing because he doesn’t look tense or nervous, his movements don’t look rehearsed, too, like his movements just flow naturally. Even when he was doing his pop dance for the judges he was being playful and charming. It’s easy to get curious about him. I have to say though, in terms of their vocal tone, only Yushi stood out to me. His voice sounded especially pretty during his parts in SuJu’s U. I have nothing to say about their vocal range though, Jungmin and Minjae were killing the highnotes. I need more from the vocals tbh. Excited for all of them, though! I hope they can all debut.

ris

It seems like they're saving covering NCT songs until the final mission, but I feel like it would have been better to do a couple of missions with NCT songs, maybe one NCT U and one for the units? Idk if they're gonna be the last NCT unit I wanna see that neo vibe from them ya know. Only trainee i've already gotten that vibe from is Riku. I'd love for them to cover Boss or maybe Universe. Looking forward to seeing Daeyoung perform next week!

mou jimenez

Jungmin is already my favourite , hope he makes it to the final lineup

Valerie Ubias

I swear I get so nervous every episode lol! I have 4 favorites but I know they're not likely to be picked together... 😔 Jungmin, Riku, Anderson & Sakuya but I am honestly attached to all of them. I am gonna be balling when the final 4 are picked for sure.

annsavreh26

I totally agree! It's like SM is already giving us hints. And they also get so much screen time so I believe SM wants them to debut. For the other 2, I don't really know who's going to make it.

Anonymous

I think, considering the composition of SM groups, it made sense to me that they'd want to add another vocalist to create a steady, stronger vocal line. If you think about SM groups, there are always multiple powerhouse vocalists that could easily be labeled as the main vocalist and/or there are multiple vocalists with distinct vocal tones/singing styles. While some of the other trainees are good vocalists, they aren't covering the same vocal landscape as Jungmin and Minjae.

Anonymous

they will be covering 90's love and Boss for the final mission.

skye

43:54 no bc same?? Jungmin was already one of my current picks before this episode anyways and he's so talented and i love his vibe but seeing his personality in this just from that MBTI observation? He's stealing my heart even more and i'm kinda scared to get attached in case he doesn't debut lol (which is always my issue with survival/competition shows where the contestants are still trainees and they're competing to debut).

skye

agreed! i actually feel like, even if there was no added trainee, the top 5 of 10 to debut would have made sense bc at least it's half of how many trainees in total competing and that it'll lead to 7 members to debut in the group (which is a normal amount of members that isn't too much or too little) and, with an addition of a new trainee and there's now 11 of them in total, having 5 debut makes even MORE sense.

Azyy

I just watched this episode and just realised that Sion look like Park Hyungsik from Ze:a (also an actor)! He also have the same vibe like him during his idol years.

Jokbal Queen

They already went to kwangya
