New video ❗❗ Btw sion is pronounced more like she-on romanisation can be misleading

Thank youuu! ISTG i've been refreshing every chance I get to see if you've already watched the episode haha! To answer your question about their microphones, they do practice with them during their dress rehearsals a day or two before performance day but in their training rooms so most likely it's just their nerves and of course the unforeseeable circumstances that sometimes happens that might cause some mistakes. :)

Yeah I’ll be pronouncing to wrong for a second cause I’m still learning but thanks for letting me know!

Kasho reminds me so much of Hansol 😂 his bored, expressionless face is too familiar. Hansol was like that too 🥲 Even in the previous episode where they showed the smrookies nct pictures I could easily tell the one sitting next to Ten was him even though his face was blurred.🥹 oh gosh, missing Hansol hours is open.

I'm impressed by their stable vocals! Wow they're really good. Dancing was also good too! But tbh, I'm still kinda worried with the stage presence aspect BUT I also believe that SP comes from confidence and confidence comes from experience so I'm sure they'll get it they just need to perform on stage more. Vocals and dancing were harder to practice tho but they're already doing good with these so I'm really glad considering also that most of them are only a year or less trainee. 👏🏻 For NCT standard, it's indeed still lacking but as normal trainees they're amazing tbh. But ofc, we also need to consider that NCT has been in the industry for so many years so it must be really hard to keep up and also a lot of pressure for these young boys. But they did well. They just need more time to be more confident I'm sure they'll be better. I'm rooting for them! I love all of them already I want to adopt them all 😭💚👏🏻🙌🏻🥰

SION and YUSHI stood out! Really shows the amount of training that they had. SION surprised me a lot. I loooove his voice and he's very stable. Seems like he's gonna be the leader too. 💚 JUNGMIN is my early #1 pick. He's so good and I love his personality. RYO I feel like has really great potential. He's still young but also so talented. His voice is still changing I hope he takes care of his voice well.

I think the best thing about this is that those who won't get chosen to debut yet will stay and train with SM and can be part of future SM boy groups. Many of them have only trained for a year or less. Many SM artists trained for 4 years or more. That makes me feel better about those that won't debut yet.

annsavreh26

Right and you know that after those trainings, they will come out again stronger and more powerful

Tess

I’m not worried about stage presence or comfort or anything. They’ll relax when they aren’t worried about whether this performance will determine their debut or not. And I’m sure they’ll be more confident with their own song, and with more time to practice along with their confirmed members.

Sion definitely gives leader vibes. I think in one of the clips or photos they put out promoting the show, they showed Leeteuk (leader of SuJu) will show up at some point. I know Taeyong shows up too but idr if any of the other group leaders do. It would be cool to see Leeteuk and Taeyong maybe give advice on leading the teams in these missions. It will be great to see the trainees all develop their talents as time goes on but it does break my heart to see how much pressure/in their own head they are right now.

idk if Japanese people would be too happy about a Korean member being the leader of a Japanese sub-unit

2023-08-13 04:11:42 I appreciate them showing us the discussion on who is more suited for which song, thought it was interesting to get a glimpse of how SM does selection and training internally (the vocal coach is so kind and encouraging??). It's looking more like a selection docuseries than the usual boyband comp where you might not actually get their specialised position lol. also, THANK YOU Caitlin for trying your best to react despite your sleepiness! just a tiny request - don't overexert yourself!! <3

I also think an important thing to consider here when talking about their nerves and readiness for larger stages is the fact that this was likely filmed MONTHS ago at this point (I think this was filmed in March earlier this year? Don't quote me on that, lol). The final line-up will have probably had months to prepare for their debut showcase, and I'm sure that just meant a lot of time to further build up their confidence and stage presence. Right now, my Top 4 is probably Riku, Jungmin, Ryo, and Anderson, but depending on the surprise trainee, this may or may not change. I just think the main thing that kind of looms over everyone so far are the nerves and feeling intimidated by the environment, but I'm sure with time that'll all improve!

annsavreh26

Yes true! And they filmed this show in March and so they have more time now to prepare for their upcoming debut. I know for sure they will come out stronger!

I'm so disappointed that Jungmin didn't get as much praise as I felt he deserved for his performance. I honestly felt that he carried the Shinee team in the way of vocals. But I do agree that the vast majority of them need to work on the facial expression aspect of performance. They all seem so so nervous and stuck in their heads that it just gets forgotten about when they're performing. The inclusion of a new trainee truly scares me. I know it's likely for dramatic effect but it brings up the I.M inclusion in Monsta X's No Mercy. He was treated so poorly to begin with, it makes me want to cry even now when I think about it. I hope whoever the new trainee is that they treat him kindly and with respect. Other than that, I'm enjoying watching along with you 😊
