HERE WE GOOOO! sooo I am loving this so far because it's really opening me up to what they all had to go through. I also really like how the documentary is filmed and edited so that's been really fun as well.

This whole process is super wild to me.... like XG truly are a different breed and doing something that I feel like hasn't been done before. I'm really looking forward to the next episode!

Hope you enjoy! 💕

2023-05-16 17:12:45 Great react and ty for sharing your feelings and insights! I think this documentary is as much about XG as it is the growth of Simon PD. In the opening scene of eps 1 you hear/see Simon in tears announcing to the girls which was the final cut for the group. Then recently after Shooting Star promos (As seen on their YT XG Days 7 & 8) Simon took the girls out to a ski resort for some rest and relaxation and he's out there risking his life skiing down triple black slopes while filming Jurin the pro snowboarder for content hahaha. He ate it too a couple times while the girls laughed at him. But how involved he is with XG just warms my heart. I think you're right the bathroom selfie lecture came off as harsh, but I think that was a lecture that was going to happen regardless. Simon knows the uphill battle the girls will face as a Japanese group debuting in Korea. They have to be twice as good as the group across from them in order to be accepted in Korea. How many times do we have a celebrity in the US have old social posts come back to haunt them later in their careers. It is so heartbreaking knowing how young they are and the amount of work they've put in to get as far as they are now. Even the girls we don't see who haven't debuted yet. I think that's what is setting this docu apart for me, the sheer rawness of it. And the fact they filmed this betting on XG being successful enough that it was worth it is mindblowing to me. It's tough to watch, it truly is, but it puts into perspective the amount of work XG has put in to be as good as they are. Thanks again!! Can't wait to see these girls live in NY in two weeks!!

Looks like the cadence for this is every 2 weeks. Episode 2 dropped late last night!

@31:44 From a USA citizen perspective this is a bit overboard but bc I’ve dived into the culture in Asia these past few years I’m not surprised he made a big deal about this. I think bc they’re training, haven’t debuted yet, nothing is official or confirmed this could be seen as inappropriate or unprofessional to do at the time right now during their training/formation of this global group.
