i read your highlights before watching the video (btw the last highlight is such a mood lol). and the song that JK and RM were discussing was "Still With You". JK wrote it dedicated to army during quarantine

Just paused the video to come say love that you're learning Korean! I'm also learning and you ever need a language partner let me know 😁 Also the other song they drove to is Eight by IU feat Suga and it probably my favourite song of the year. It's so beautiful and if you listen to it I suggest you check out the explanation video as well because it's heartbreaking and gives so much meaning behind the song.

hobi is so fond of the maknaes it’s truly so cute,, he thinks jk is the cutest person in the world and always plays around with jimin and tae... he laughs at anything jimin says and it’s just so sweet

also i love in the soop for how much you can really see their friendship and bond! honestly it’s my emotional support show along with bon voyage season 4,, jin and yoongi in this are so sweet together and talk about how they’re soulmates and jk and tae have a sweet moment in a later episode talking about their friendship and they all give each other so much love in little gestures throughout this whole series it’s so precious

Yeah, basically Yoongi is absolutely awesome in In the Soop (actually he is always awesome 🥳). I love how every single one of them immediately calmed down after they arrived. You could really feel the relaxation 🧖🏼‍♀️ So what I get from your comments Caitlin...we will all go on a roadtrip together and spend a week in a similar environment then the Soop House 🤣 Gotta save up for the trip to Korea - we could go when they have their next concert 🥳🥳🥳🥳 So we could watch that, too. Yeah, just dreaming here 💜

I agree with Denise. I want to go on a trip like this sooo bad!! I love being outdoors and I'm my state we do have a cottage but it's not as decked out as this. I want to go to a place where it's fully stocked, set up and all I have to do is show up. Glamping? I think that's what I want. 🤣🤣

my favorite moments are when they all come together to eat. their individual tasks are fun but when they come together for late night dinners, the energy is so wholesome. you can tell they genuinely love eachother ♡

Soop Yoongi is the best Yoongi in all ways 💜 My favorite part honestly is them roasting each other over not being able to reach the ticket machine because back before I-pass that was me trying to throw my coins into the toll every.single.TIME. 😅 I'm so beyond excited to watch this, thank you for doing this one!

"still with u" by jk is one of my fav solos by them! it's so good, and the lyrics are obviously bomb. the maknae line is especially babied by hobi haha, he's just so precious! and seokjin's humor is just top tier lmao, he's just so fun to be around honestly.

The song was called eight, by IU, co produced by SUGA its an amazing song. IU is iconic in Kpop to me

i love how they joked about the sponsorships they for the show (samsung fridge, cilsung cider, hyundai palisades), i think thats the best way to deal with sponsorships, is to not act like they arent there or that its totally natural or whatever. Jimin's " Oh. Look. At. This. Beautiful. Samsung. Fridge." is still so funny to me Also I think we are all simps for In the Soop Yoongi lol

You can get those Ramyeon in a Korean market. I have those very ones and yes they are delicious, the chiding cider Hobi was drinking is even better than Sprite.

In the Soop is just the best thing ever! So happy to watch this with you, Caitlin!! It's hard for me to pick a fave moment, I found this entire idea just so adorable, and you'll see as you go how very healing it was for them, and how healing it will be for you!!! There are times during this show that I literally teared up from all the sweetness and healing that occurred. And, oh yeah...In the Soop Yoongi is simply stunning!!

I also wanted to say that the reason Jimin is so focused on the road is bc he got his driving license not so long ago and didn't have much opportunity to practice. I know that for some people in US it's kind of weird to know that the majority of young people in other countries don't actually drive!

In the Soop Yoongi is Top Tier. 😍 This whole series was so soothing, yet mesmerizing. It really got my daughter & I through one of the hardest parts of the pandemic. We always looked forward to Bon Voyage, Army would all be on the lookout to see what country they might be filming BV, and anxiously waiting for people who caught a glimpse of them. But In the Soop just hit different. It was such peace-of-mind to see them so relaxed and happy. 💜

Oh! They are making Jjapaguri. It’s when you combine Chapaghetti & Neoguri noodle packs. The noodles get saucy, rather than typical packaged soupy ramen. You eat it with grilled meat (Gogi) and banchan (like kimchi, beansprout salad, pickled radish/cucumbers, etc.)

Also, that song Jin played in the car that you liked was called Eight by IU. She and Yoongi worked together on it and it's an absolute drive song, it's so nice! I highly recommend it!

From my brief search, slurping isn't considered rude in Korea! It's neither polite nor impolite, just a thing that happens. (Though, in comparison, I know that not slurping is considered impolite in Japan. The more you know~)

- the cars they're traveling in are Hyundai Palisades, which is what the boys endorsed and made commercials for (and sold out for several months in advance - which proves the fanbase isn't just a bunch of teenage girls ^^) - Hyundai is a Korean company - what Jimin is wearing - hanbok - it is the traditional Korean clothing, which most Koreans wear for special occasions, but it is not uncommon to see people dressed in hanboks just walking down the street on a regular day - they've made modern hanboks for everyday wear for those who prefer to wear the hanbok, but it's still a thing for people to wear the older traditional stuff as well - there are also places that will rent out hanboks for the day, so people who don't own their own, or travelers who wish to experience wearing one, can have a hanbok for the day, and there are museums and different spots in Korea that will give you free entry if you come wearing the hanbok - Taxita/Busita - adding "ta" to the end of a noun means "to ride" that noun in Korean - so the boys were being silly, and changed up the words to Daechwita for riding the taxi, riding the bus - Eight - the other song you heard them play during the drive was a collab between Yoongi and IU - the two of them are the same age, but IU is considered Yoongi's "sunbae" (superior/upperclassman in the same branch/industry) by over a decade - she's been a working superstar since she was like 13-14, working as both a singer and an actress, and she is called Korea's Little Sister, she holds a TON of clout and is highly respected in the entertainment industry - so when BTS and IU came together to make a song, the internet practically imploded - and, like Yoongi, she looks eternally cute and sweet, but she has a savage side to her, and is not afraid to tell it like it is in her songs

- the drive from Seoul to Chuncheon (which is where the show is filmed) takes an hour and a half - Samsung is a Korean company and endorsed by BTS as well (you will see a lot of things endorsed by the boys throughout this show, in cute and silly ways) - Chilsung Cider (also an endorsement) is a lemon-lime soda, similar to Sprite (though I feel it tastes more like 7UP as it's more crisp and less syrupy sweet) - "cider" in Korea means lemon-lime soda (Sprite or otherwise) - heated floors - ondol flooring - Koreans have been heating their homes this way for thousands of years - Korea is a peninsula, so it is surrounded by ocean, with very limited space on land - this means fish and seafood is a huge part of the Korean diet staple - this is also part of the reason why pork and beef are at a premium, and eaten less regularly than seafood and chicken - jjapaguri - made famous by the movie, Parasite - mix of Neoguri ramen and Jjapaghetti to calm down the spiciness of the Neoguri - in Parasite, they mixed the cheap ramen with expensive Korean beef to symbolize the rich/poor dynamic of the movie

Listen I totally agree, their way of life is so respectful and they keep to traditions, don’t blame you cause I’m also in America and I totally think we aren’t as great as people make it, people here aren’t as respectful so many social issues and the freedom side is slowly becoming more chaos. Every country has ups and downs but, America needs to chill lolll
