Ok I’m gonna see if I can answer some questions without spoilers. And I hope no one gives spoilers because there is supposed to be a third movie. So he marries Princess Irulan as a political marriage. In the books he never touches her it’s strictly political. Chani is his concubine like Jessica was to the Duke. I assume in these movies Chani will return to him for some reason in the 3rd movie. Alia, his sister, basically gained consciousness in the womb. She became a Reverend Mother just like her mother but as a fetus. So she will never have the mindset of a child. This makes her a complicated and controversial character later on. In the books she is already born by the end but maybe they didn’t want to bring a child actor into such an intense role idk. I was ok with the way she was portrayed. Paul did have a choice he didn’t have to drink the water of life but if he wanted to save the Fremen and get his revenge he needed to see the future. The water of life basically “opens” the mind so that someone can see all possible futures. (Very Doctor Strange). Paul’s character was created to be like in the beginning he seems like the ultimate hero/good guy but by the end you start to question maybe he’s not so good. The Bene Gesserit want to create a Kwisatz Haderach which is basically a male Reverend Mother. But most men die in the transition. They give up on Paul because he can’t be controlled and they must control everything. The spice is the most important resource in the galaxy. Think of it like oil here on earth. Wars are literally fought over it. The spice allows the Space Guild (which was only briefly mentioned in the first movie) to travel across the universe and take people from planet to planet. Cause it enhances the mind or something. I hope I answered most of the questions you had. I really enjoyed watching your reactions to some of my favorite movies to date. They are really on an epic scale!
