I'm glad you posted this cos they've been dragged on twitter so I had to see for myself ~

Hailey

so you don't know anything. i was there and they sounded just fine in person. You haters just love to stay on the train for as long as possible and its sad.

Hailey

I'm so happy you enjoyed it because I loved seeing them live. They sounded just fine to me and the hate train on social media is making me so upset. For a show that was an hour long, no backtrack, only one short break, I think the girls did phenomenal that night.

taylor

they sounded fine in some parts then other parts they sounded like they were struggling 😭

caitlinbenson

Yeah some parts were shaky but overall I still think they did a good job. I believe they still have next weekend. I haven’t seen anyone that actually was there in person say anything bad about it but it’s all over Twitter and TikTok apparently. I definitely will not be participating in that behavior at all.

caitlinbenson

Yeah…just don’t come on here to continue to spread that negativity. My Patreon is definitely NOT the place for that. I’m not saying you are but In case someone wants to pay and come on here and start stuff in the comments cause I already see it. I don’t want that here.

Janika

They did so well. Just patiently waiting for the lsf hate train to stop.

caitlinbenson

Hi Diana, we don’t really entertain negativity here on my page. Yes, there were some shaky parts. I don’t really see the need to continue the hate train in my comment section though.

Liuzetz

They went so hard and I'm so proud of the girls. They really did super well. The camera work was a mess though haha hoping for a better version release from Hybe (not sure if Coachella allows that though). I think They choose the songs for this that were the most hyped and dancy as it was a festival show. I'd Love to hear impurities but I dont think it would be fitting that well in this setlist. Thank you for the reaction, Caitlin! Hoping the House is coming a long alright 🩷

Diana

Sorry for leaving negative comments here😔

japheth shem izon

Is there a way for you to just turn off the comment section? I bet it will be hard for you to check each comment and delete one by one.

Aaryan Bangera

oh my god people are so annoying. the girls do sound good, the only reason they had a little instability in the vocals is cuz of the excessive dancing and tough choreo. also theyre performing in such a big event for the first time. its a big deal. please look at idols as human. not as machines.

keisi _DLOP

I love le sserafim sooo much 🔥♥️

JeongyeonStan

Fans should really be more understanding when it comes to kpop idols. Talking and laughing while walking already makes us catch our breaths, so imagine dancing while singing. They do deserve big respect for performing great despite the strenuous movements. Please, lets not spread negativity. We should pat them in the back and shower them with words of affirmation and acknowledgement so we could bring our idols more fire to enjoy and get better on stage. Theyre humans too who cant be perfect all the time because if they are, there will never be more room to grow. ❤️

caitlinbenson

Unfortunately Patreon does not have that option. There’s not as many people here compared to YouTube so it’s actually easier for me to manage my comments here. I also get notifications when someone does so yeah I can see it. I’m cool just want to let everyone know that if it’s not constructive criticism then yeah that’s not welcomed here.

Mariah

Hot & Fun was the highlight of the night for me. i hope Hybe gives them more concepts like this and songs in this range and style! Sakura, Kazuha and Eunchae did so well in that style.

JessNoe

thanks for reacting, i've been waiting to see someone react to it. i had a blast watching this at home lmao, i loved the new song too. excited to see their weekend 2 performance 😁

surem

As a former performer it makes me so upset to see the hate they’ve been receiving. Sure they could use some more vocal training, just like any idol or singer. There’s always room for improvement, and if anyone should be criticized for that it’s Hybe, hating on the girls themselves does nothing. However, especially for something like this, hyping the crowd and having fun is really the main goal. I imagine they were super nervous too but they did amazing. “Live” vocals are edited so heavily nowadays (this isn’t shade, just a fact about the industry, not even just kpop) that people have forgotten what raw live singing even sounds like. I hope this hate train eases up soon.

Luca

thank you for reacting to the girls. they did so well! To answer your question the unreleased song is called hot and fun should be coming out today or tomorrow

Luca

also they are performing this weekend again too

Chiiken

That's Nile Rodgers on the guitar on Unforgiven

mati

I think a lot of the hate comes from unrealistic expectations set by overproduced live stages where there’s layers and layers of back up vocals, pre recorded vocals in the studio etc. The girls did well considering its a festival, they had a minimal back up and a hard choreography. Im really proud of them

Dustin

After watching it though a 2nd time with your video they actually started off really well. Their first 4 songs were actually really well done with the choreo and live vocals. During their 2nd half You can tell they lost stamina (and the clear mixing and mic issues didn’t help) but they still delivered a great performance. Can’t imagine the nerves and everything else that factored in too. I’m extremely happy with this first week and I’m looking forward to next weekend and as they continue to do more live performances they’ll only get better. They killed it and super proud of them!

Ivan Stanley Brisbane

Thank you for reacting to them. My girls did so great considering this was their first festival in the US, which is crazy because they just debuted like almost 2 years ago. Yeah, I could tell they were nervous, but they performed great regardless. Every band and group that performed this weekend will perform again next weekend.

Lunar

Thank you so much, Caitlin. I'm here to support my girls.

kaegthegamer

I'ma be real. I think the girls did a good job. They tried to go out and put on a show that wasn't the typical KPop show, and I applaud them for that. The band was great as well...loved seeing Niles Rodgers out there. He is the history of especially disco and Funk guitar playing. From Chic to Daft Punk, that man has done A LOT and innovated so many sounds in the Music Industry. The ladies still have another weekend. They will go back, and see what they did well and what they need to improve on. I will say this though the production crew (camera, sound, etc.) didn't do them or other artists any favors this past weekend. On the Mojave stage, all Friday, the sound crew were not prepared at all. Artists couldn't hear themselves or their instruments through in-ear monitors, and had to constantly ask to be turned up. The levels were garbage on many stages. I know while watching the Beths perform, the bass guitar's sound was damn near cut completely off. Also, on the Sahara stage, on Friday most of the performers were DJs, so frankly, except for the odd guest on stage, the majority of the performances didn't have live vocals. Honestly, the only live performance that I watched that didn't have any sound issues throughout the weekend was the No Doubt performance. To me, it was the same thing that happened during the Billboard "Women in Music" awards last year. This is also what happened the first weekend that BlackPink performed. A little research goes a long way.

Masa Maihoub

apparently, it isn't coming out any time soon. just thought i should tell you!!

Evelyn Burks

Coachella is for having fun and the girls PUT ON A GOOD SHOW! I set an alarm just so I could watch the livestream. My first thoughts “oop they MAD!!” they killed it!! Proud of ANY AND ALL KPOP idols who are invited to western events

taylor

oh yeah its insane on twt and tiktok.... its a battlefield trying to defend them😭 i love my girls and they def dont deserve the hate. they were probably just super nervous performing at such a big event.

Alexandria T

You read my mind. Sometimes I can't even tell if idols are singing live or not because the vocals sound so alike (scarily so, not like bragging...but like they're not singing live at all whenever I KNOW they can). So then I have to blame the company (pray for my favs) for having my favs sound like they're NOT singing live. In the instance I'm talking about, I'm talking about SM, but it's in context of the topic because of frustrations with live stages or "live" stages. Unless one of the singers does some slight change to some word (sometimes resulting in a growling noise, like with EXO's Kyungsoo during "Growl" for the EXO tours, lol) or does an unexpected run not in the original audio (NCT during "2 Baddies"; Red Velvet's Wendy during the Red Velvet "Killing Voice" medley and her runs, oh man, she was having so much fun and you could tell she was doing it live), it's really difficult to hear the differences. So in the end, it's not the idols' fault, it's the company (and it's so wide spread in the industry, like...can we have normal things ever again?). But yeah, along with that, there are the unrealistic expectations. LE SSERAFIM don't deserve the hate they are getting. I have a soft spot for Eunchae because of her show and her interactions with my favs (EXO, NCT).

Alexandria T

"Le Freak" or "Le Chic" I forgot the song he was part of decades ago before featuring on LE SERRAFIM's "Unforgiven". I always heard it as "Freak Out" but that's not even the title of the song. Also "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk, I think?

Alexandria T

Oh boy, so the tech issues aren't just problems for kpop stages (mass offenders are MAMA awards). They need to get it together for the performers' and fans' sake.

kaegthegamer

Yea, it was really bad in spots. When watching Yoasobi, for the first two or three songs, the lead singer kept asking the sound crew to turn her in-ear up, because she couldn't hear herself sing. I know that the sound crew only gets a day or two rehearsal with the artist(s) on stage, but they do have time to set up the stages and sound in general before those two days. Do better production crew.

kaegthegamer

Nile Rodgers is a founding member of Chic. A great many of his guitar licks and stylings are used in every type of music of yesteryear and today. He was the guitarist for Daft Punk's "Get Lucky". He also produced many popular classics. The guy is truly a legend.

Llyjil Busch

So proud of them!!! They did so great!!!!!

Nicole S

I literally came here because I was so excited you're doing a reaction to this. I KNEW there would be some sanity and positivity here. I watched the set live and I was so proud of my fimmies and thought they were amazing. Seeing the hate has been exhausting so I'm thankful <3 I think they killed it and I'm so excited for them!

Lúcia Pacheco

They were soooo good! I feel like Kpop fans Just have No idea anymore how a truly live Concert actually sounds like anymore. So many are just too used to editing, Auto tune and backtracks to smooth out imperfections... Le Sserafim was so courages to go so raw at Just an important Festival... And the Energy they gave definitely showed through the crowds reactions. I heard people even say that their songs sounded 'bad' with a live Band 😳 I'm super shocked with These reaction, and honestly think people are just really angry that their favorites weren't invited instead. No Matter how this Concert went, Let Sserafim was bound to receive hate.... So .. I'm glad they gave us this raw Performance where WE really could feel connected to them. They ate! But I hope Next week they use the normal microphones Till the end, because the Headsets seemed a Bit problematic at Times.. but Coachella is known to have technical Problems during Week 1. Maybe, If people had watched Grimes 2h earlier on the Sahara, they wouldn't be complaining about Le Sserafim being allegedly 'bad' 😂

ana_uaena

I don't know what to do guys, I feel like crying everything I open YouTube and see all coachella videos and I know that it will have so many hate comments about the girls. Le Sserafim is my ult group, and I'm so proud and I felt so happy watching the performance, it was 3am for me, and when it finished I went to sleep so happy, just to wake up with all that hate... I'm honestly shocked and kinda paralyzed in this situation... I won't engage to hate comments because I could never win and I will always continue to support the girls, especially in this hard time, I just hope the girls have a stronger mind, stronger than mine, to handle all of this hate and criticism and grown more and more. Reading Sakura's letter gave me some kind of confort that they will get out of this stronger. Sorry for the long text, I just felt comfortable to express my feelings here with you all ❤️

ana_uaena

I'm so excited for the new song to be released I really loved it ❤️. Also, thank you Caitlin for your reaction, I'm really happy watching it again with you all.

ana_uaena

There is this quote from Taylor that I will take it for life; “The worst kind of person is someone who makes you feel bad, dumb, or stupid for being excited about something.” -Taylor Swift. I wish I could convey this to the haters.

AlliePandaa

Hahaha 😂😂 your face was exactly my face when I heard the lyrics to 1-800 hot & fun. “I wanna kiss everybody!!” Excussseeeee me ladies?!

ქეთა ტაველიშვილი

They did soo well. I don't get the hate train the are getting right now. It's the Coachella curse every girl group gets.)) BlackPink and Aespa were also criticized for their performances. People love to hate.

Ruben

Thank you for posting this. I was rewatching this performance after the documentary release. I was in the crowd that night and nothing could have topped the energy coming from that stage. As someone who is getting vocal training, I know just how difficult it is to do and hour long dance workout and power through with vocal singing. Along with this, they are singing in the DESERT HEAT which causes your vocal cords to constrict. The fact they did all of this is just amazing. I am so sad they only got a few breaks for water and rest. Plus this stage had AWFUL audio production and mixing the whole night. These girls have worked their butts off and they deserve so much praise. I wish there was a better way to make it reach them.

Ruben

NO FR. I was there at this stage. People are brainwashed to have not heard live singing. I kept telling people in the comments to look up other stages. The desert heat constricts your vocal folds and makes it really hard to sing, LET ALONE WITH A HOUR LONG WORKOUT IN COREO.
