It was jisung's idea for them to wear red strings on their pinkies for unknown! also the dreamies released a vlog (on their channel) of their meeting on what song to pair up w/ smoothie during promotions and it just shows how involved they are in this cb.

I've loved this comeback as well! It's such an important one in preparation of Dream literally being the anchor of NCT since you know what is starting next week and ILIChil won't be whole for a while. If you are a mess about UNKNOWN now, wait until you realise that the red threads are an embodiment of the Japanese legend about the Red Threads of Fate and how it represents how 7DREAM see themselves and their connection to one another. I was a mess when I saw those. Lastly, I really love how every now and then, when our guards are down, NA JAEMIN has to violently remind us why he's the effing visual center of Dream. He's transcendant in this comeback! My goodness.

sadly, jisung was removed in a part of the smoothie choreo :(( theres a lil part where all the rappers dance together then all the vocalists do but jisung was removed and he's just waiting out of stage :(( and i have this impression that when he's the center (and its his turn to sing) he's just staying still without much dancing which is kinda sad :// NICE REACTION ANYWAYS i love how "dramatic" you are with the dreamies (english is not my first language so im sorry if its weirded said oki) its always fun to look at your reactions and listen to your reviews <333333

by the way each one of them kinda impressed me (i know they're good dancers and good performers even though jisung will always be my favorite) but they all have AT LEAST that one part that makes me go insane

Caitlin you cannot be slowing down Heachan's part like that. I can't take it. He is WRECKING me this comeback SO HARD. UNKNOWN is my fave from this album and he is KILLING me. I've listened to this album like twice a day since it came out. You got me crying at work all over again! I think it's a red string on their finger like in the teaser videos! Hope to see you for the tour if they come to Chicago! I have no money but I'll be there  😭 😭 😭

I think the red strings on their pinkies came from teaser dream scape chapter 5, and it's jisung's idea to did it on the stage too. Unknown is very meaningful song T_T

Caitlin, I'm sure you were thinking of Michael Jackson whenever Haechan was dancing in some parts of "Smoothie" for the live stages. It made me remember to tell you that Haechan covered "Rock With You" by MJ, but he hasn't released it. I forgot why. He only had the acapella, no music. He played it from his phone on Weverse. He also said he has two covers he plans to release this year, but he doesn't know what two covers yet. ALSO it was Mark's idea to pair "UNKNOWN" with "Smoothie" because he wanted the 2nd song to have more of Dream's signature sound (probably he was thinking of "Rainbow", as you said, plus the background of the first "UNKNOWN" performance you watched had shown a rainbow). That is meaningful because of the 7 colors of the rainbow and also it was the first performance as NCT Dream being officially 7 after the rule was abolished (the one where Mark had to leave after reaching the age he did) and Mark returned full time. So showing the rainbow image was very clever on their part because NCTzens would immediately think back to "Hot Sauce" era and it'd make them emotional remembering that. Mark (I don't think, but could have forgotten the entire conversation they had about "UNKNOWN"'s reason for being the couple to "Smoothie" for live stages) didn't mention anything about "Hot Sauce" era, but that is how it felt to me. Please correct me if I'm wrong about what Mark said. Thank you for watching the performances, Caitlin.
