Hello, Sweeteas!

Would love to hear what you think about music in my files. Do you enjoy it, or prefer just the sfx?

Let me know in a comment too.

The music sometimes helps to actually lose awareness by just focussing on it and losing track of your words. Same for the echo effect where your words bounce left and right. When this happens, I can focus on that and no longer on your main centered voice, which I think makes sure that your main voice goes straight into my subconscious.

I like the music, it kinda functions sometimes like a trigger, volume is good imo

The music makes me want to listen to it more and have the music be a part of the triggers in a way. Hearing music gets me excited for what's about to come next. Music also lets me passively listen to everything without breaks in audio causing awkward silences :)

IMO The more ambient the better with slow note changes. There's a line between music and background noise and music that can act as both is really good but I often find music that approaches the sound of your voice or has too much melody to be distracting. Like a focus aid while working you often want music without lyrics and not too loud, there's a similar thing going on with hypnosis.

I think it differs between full sessions and loops for me. I enjoy SFX in both but music can be repetitive or cut strangely in loops. Sometimes the no sfx version (or at least anything that does not require both ears) can be better for loops if they're intended for sleep. For full sessions with a clear end and beginning I feel like well utilized SFX and music alike definitely adds to the experience. That said, the music can be more challenging to be within everybody's taste. For example I think you did a good job in Hypnotized by a bimbo. E.g. When you say certain triggers the music stops, which in my opinion strengthens the trigger. Somebody else might not like the type of music though.

Prefer just the FX. I prefer to add my own music/mood.

It's a situational thing for me. Depends on the context of the file. Sometimes music can be distracting if it doesn't complement the mood of the file or wasn't edited in properly. However, this is probably a me thing, but sometimes I find that music makes the file less intimate in a way, it feels more like a show than an interpersonal experience. A show can definitely still be good and very effective. If the music is atmospheric and has a reason to exist in the scene, it will work nicely for sure, but if it's just background noise to supplement the recording, or you're worried about dead space or something, then it's not as necessary I think. Music can take me out, but I have a feeling that's more due to my own brain than just a fact of life. Sometimes a nice quiet person-to-person mind domination is just beautiful; I feel more in tune and more like I'm with the hypnotist. Other times, if the scenario is more like a roleplay or a guided scenario, music can work well to support the overall mood and atmosphere.

I like the sfx as it is very distinctly you and its easier to trance with that context.

At first I wasn't sure but I really like it. It would be wonderful to have certain songs trigger certain reactions, and then could listen to a music loop and trance in public

So far I've enjoyed the fleeting musicality that's added to your files and wondered if you were the musician. It pleased me to think you are even more creative than the writer, speaker, and hypnodomne that I know you already are.
