Over 2 years ago Fontus accused me of self promotion in debunking their product - not a very convincing rebuttal! Well 2 years later and the ‘Fontus Team’ still haven’t been able to produce anything that looks like a self-filling water bottle.

Many might have said ‘well it’s a dead horse, theres no point in beating it’. However the reality is since then we’ve had Waterseer, Zero Mass Water, and the Berkeley/ MIT team all of which claimed they would make water from humidity and sun (and these are just the ones Im aware of). I think theres real value in displaying the entire caucus of a indiegogo scam-starter that pulled in over 1/3rd of a million dollars!

Patreon really needs a button for the content creator to click before it spams everyone with emails every time a typo is corrected :P

For what it's worth, I am sorry and feel shame for my fellow Austrian's conduct in that kickstarter. From what I've heard, the Vienna University of Applied Arts is actually a good and reputable university. What's worse is how they were able to obtain governmental funding and so much media coverage.

Everything hinges on this being thermodynamically impossible. It would be nice for you to show more clearly why this cannot be built. (aka some equations or computations or models etc)

Hi Thunderf00t. Nice work on keeping us all updated with this train wreck. As a tale of caution to those thinking of starting, and those thinking of backing projects, I backed a project for scissors a while ago. Nothing fancy, a business that already existed making scissors for generations, and they launched a project to deliver scissors that they already made. They didn't need to break any laws of physics, they had to keep doing what they knew best. Tragically, the director of the company took his own life in February due to the stress of trying to keep his business afloat. His name was Nick Wright, director of Ernest Wright and Son LTD if you want to read up on the desperately sad story. "I tried so hard, this was no scam, I just could not make it happen. Too much pressure, not enough resource or time. I am so very genuinely sorry to you all." - Nick Wright, leaving a message to his Kickstarter backers in his final letter.

As if German tap water wasn't perfectly fine already. What total morons.
