Hello !

I made a mistake, and that mistake saved me. Like, truly. I could have had the biggest mental breakdown ever in review, just after seeing Eren destroying Liberio, but because of my mistake, I watched directly after that the hidden scene of the last episode. With Hange saying that the destruction of Liberio and Marley is inevitable, Annie, Reiner and Gaby hearing that, and most importantly, Annie asking again the question of killing Eren to Mikasa. And I think that how this entire final episode of part 2 was built, is the answer to that question.

First part of this episode, we have Mikasa thinking about Eren (through that flashback). Asking herself what changed in Eren, what did she miss, or maybe what did she try to not see. Second part of this episode, we have Eren's side of the story for ALL of this season, justifying his actions. And again, sorry, ok I understand his reasons, but I'm against it. At this point, everyone suffered and is guilty, and Eren is not doing that for freedom anymore but for revenge. Because his rage began with that, and the writer made it perfectly clear with the final moment : nothing else counts for him than revenge.

And with how this episode is built, and so now with how the last one ended with that hidden scene, I have my theory for the end : he would only let Mikasa join him, be close to him at this point, she knows it, but because of that she's also gonna be the one who can kill him. And that's why we discovered here that the Ackerman's thing about protecting Eren at any cost is not true. And that's why this entire anime is also built around Mikasa and Eren's relationship. Everything began with them, everything is gonna end with them.

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.
