EXTENDED REACTION PART +36MIN, SOONER, ONE VIDEO, NO ADDS

LINK : https://e.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZqOl0ZLQbby0hgHN4b7zxzpYnkAznCVECV

Hello !

The version uploaded on Patreon is really long, so prepare yourself a coffee and something to eat, but I have several reasons : it's a movie, not a regular episode ; it's composed in chapters like 4 different episodes so in fact it's the usual timing ; I didn't know so many things were gonna happen. The first death, ok, it seemed logical, the voice of reason, the one who wanted to have a normal and peaceful life, it amplified the shock of the situation. The second death ? NO. Just no.

I was so shocked that it took me minutes to really realize it. I totally forgot that seconds before I almost cried because Serenity was totally broken. And then, all of that happened, all of them were hurt, Simon was saying goodbye, River sacrificed herself… I was at the bottom. But the end helped me. And all of these answers we had, which were so great. Clearly, the writers had them in mind from the beginning and, even if it was shorter than planned, I have the impression they didn't erase anything they wanted to do. But WHY NOT GIVING ME INARA AND MAL ??? I know, to maybe have a second season/movie. BUT WHYYYYYY ?

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

Love the reaction. If you have not yet figured it out, the assassin in not the same actor from the matrix.

Hello ! Yes you're right, I thought he was Harry Lennix, Lock in Matrix. Sorry for the mistake !

Thomas Yanez

Did you go back to rewatch the "one shot" at the beginning? Joss Whedon wanted to do a full tour of the ship in one shot as a way of introducing both the crew and the ship herself. It was actually two shots, and they hid the cut in one of the little hallways.

Ryan Lake

It's been awhile since I've watched the movie, so I enjoyed watching (most of) it again. It really does do a pretty good job of ending the storyline. I do think the trope of "small band that saves the entire world" is a little bit overplayed, and didn't fit so much with the theme of the show, but I did like the explanation of the Reavers. If you wanted to read just one of the comics, I'd definitely suggest the one with the Shepherd's back story (I think it's called something like the Shepherd's Tale). It's VERY good! Also, just wanted to say that during your discussion a few episodes back, you were theorizing if they would kill any of the crew, and then said they probably wouldn't until the movie, and I teared up a little thinking about Wash. Its probably one of the saddest deaths I've seen on screen, in part because of how unexpected and sudden it is in the moment. I do like it when shows handle death this way, but I'm still a little disappointed too, because if they DID ever decide to do any sort of spin off again, Alan Tudyk couldn't be in it, and he's one of (if not) the biggest cast members that still regularly supports the show online and at conventions, etc.
