There will be sketch stream(s) soon (when??) but it's usually better to get this post up sooner rather than later!

1. I usually only select about 6-10 to draw.
2. Please post references for anything that's not easily searchable on google images. I'll sometimes consider text description for a single character so long as it's not overly complicated.
3. I'll usually do flat colors unless I am given an idea that I wish to develop into a full picture (fan art or my characters only, usually), so color references if you please
4. Although I will try to step out of my comfort zone for several, you usually have a better chance if you request something I like to draw (Check out the stuff I do for fun if you need an idea https://www.weasyl.com/submissions/rickgriffin?folderid=15100 )
5. Two character limit, though also keep in mind that two characters are harder to draw than one character, so I will often select one-character drawings. Any drawing that necessitates three characters or more will NOT be selected.

The theme this month is BAD WEATHER. Get moody!

Cool! I'd like something of my OC, Dean, jogging in the rain, filled with DETERMINATION! https://www.dropbox.com/s/tqfe29qqn667sik/tumblr_o9gku1ZTWC1sjj0nto5_1280.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/wu74yqe33gzyzpw/DeanAtTheBeachWEB.jpg?dl=0

Could you draw Enigma with an upturned umbrella, being pushed by the wind and rain? https://www.furaffinity.net/view/21040636/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/21165465/

Could you please draw my character outside on a rainy and cloudy day with a kite and a key attacthed to the end like a certain someone who discovered electricity did? I mean, what's the worst that can happen? http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20838003/

I imagine Stormy weather with high winds blowing http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6329298/ off balance/away because of his wings as I http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14020150/ try and help him stay grounded.

I think I want to hold off on a request for myself this month, since my birthday is next month. =) My request this month for you, Rick, is to draw something for yourself or someone you want to draw for.

Could you draw my character James in a "Singing in the rain" scene? http://jamesmckadecomics.deviantart.com/gallery/56900016/JM-Comics

Hi, Rick! Thanks for the Bad weather theme. Thinking Stubat trying to fly home all rain-blasted and soggy, flapping doggedly onward. (Tho he tends to be cheerful, so doesn't have to look 'down') Refs:as follows. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwIgnb8eqVE7Yk1XckJHRnFYWE0 https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwIgnb8eqVE7cEZtT2xHaXQ5VzA https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwIgnb8eqVE7eDNUQ1F3UkU2MXM

River Descending

Itsuki, maybe wearing one of those Japanese bamboo hats, at a bus stop on a drizzly, dreary day. (As it has been for me lately, incidentally).

rickgriffin

"rain at a bus stop" is exactly the kind of thing I was thinking when I made the theme! Funny how that worked

Stoker Bramwell

Because "bad weather" is relative... A beautiful, bright, sunny summer day with Stoker huddled miserably under an umbrella to keep out the horrible sunlight. Disheveled, hot, grumpy, unbuttoned, possibly smoking slightly.

Alexander Opst

Ooh. This sounds potentially relevant to Kepi, my large buff Luxray/Arcanine Storm/Guardian hybrid goddess you drew once before! Perhaps a picture of her in a bad mood, grumping as she leans back against a Pyramid, causing stormclouds around its 'peak'/her immediate area with her weather powers? She's topless, but cartoon-style, with nothing showing. Her best ref is https://www.dropbox.com/s/c27czi6axwzg56x/WFA%20Kepi%20Chokeslam.jpg?dl=0 , but if you need some other angles, there's more in https://www.dropbox.com/sh/bgclg6ku6tedr5c/AAB-ZxQPBV0LALSA61MS6J-Ma?dl=0 .

RaddaReep

Hmm... alright then! I'll give this a shot. Idea: My Mareep character walking down a windy street with purple/black clouds roiling with flashes of lighting overhead. Phone in hand, a charging cable can be seen plugged into it and empties out into his wooly chest. Waving his orb tipped tail around behind him like a lightning rod, the electric sheep hopes to attract some strikes and keep his phone charged! I kind of want to see Ali conducting enough havoc in an apartment to create microcyclones.

Raining cats and dogs. That is all.

Petrov Neutrino

Lucretia standing at the open door, staring out into the storm, commenting to Miles (reading in a chair) about riding out the storm in the old days.

It would be nice to see the blushing Dragon sheltering peanut from rain my neighbor Totoro style :)

Duster

Let's see.... It's early morning and there's a thick sheet of fog enveloping the land. My character Aubrey could be going through some hard times and is walking the neighborhood park to sort through his thoughts. Perhaps he stops to check his phone? Either that or he's Hiking through a blisteringly hot stand of cedar trees just off of a bluff down in the Texas hill country. Maybe he could be wearing a cool looking poncho and hat? Your choice! :). http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11546387/

Actually instead of Enigma can I get Dacre in that position? http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21190998/

This IMMEDIATELY made me think of a Weather Girls parody. "It's raining cats, hallelujah! It's raining dogs, Amen!"

Back in 5000 B.C., Ptah and Satau are forced to fight a sudden flood together without their powers by building a bigger rock wall around their town. In a more heroic version, I'd like to see them both helping each other do this while in the middle of a storm.

Darsen McPanda

Pete always did strike me as a stormy weather sort of demigod. How about one of him flying through some stormclouds, a contented smile on his face as some lightning dances nearby?

Bruce and/or Roosevelt at the zoo covered in blankets and scarves and/or other assorted heavy garments, but it's just windy and slightly chillier than usual. Because one of them, or both, are used to Australia's hotter climate (Australia is hot, right?) Perhaps one of them is more used to the cold, and is looking at the other like ò_ò and the other says something like "What? In Australia it isn't this cold!"

A terrified Douglas in a strong storm, frantically holding on to an umbrella after he's been pulled several feet in the air by a strong wind. http://douglascollier.deviantart.com/

Dahan

A random fennec fox-morph caught in a sandstorm, maybe making their way to some sort of shelter. Wearing desert-appropriate attire (probably something robe-like, e.g., Obi-Wan Kenobi on Tatooine, or the traditional Saudi Arabian attire). Head covering: with earholes or without? I'm leaning towards with holes to let the ears poke out... gotta let those radiators get some airflow. And it's probably cuter that way :)
