It's been a while since I did the geroo one, but the ringel are significantly more complicated when it comes to sex. This is hardly comprehensive.

They are like raccoony lemurs. I originally based them more off ringtail cats, but their designs ended up very lemur-y.

Okay now I'm curious, how to Ringel handle matters of heredity? Does the mother keep track of who sires their progeny? Are they strictly matrilinial?

They're pretty matrilineal. They'd HAVE to be; it is a female ability to reject insemination at-will, so any ringel with a womb can decide who they accept impregnation from. And since it's perfectly socially okay for ringel to have sex with any other ringel there's not any socially underhanded way to "trap" a given ringel with a pregnancy. Mates of impregnated females are considered a parent of the offspring whether or not they did the actual impregnation.
