Okay this is another thing I've been thinking about and I wonder if Patreon is better suited toward people who produce context weekly/bi-weekly or monthly or what have you. Producing content 4x/week means that the "minimum" I have to charge is both really small and difficult for a potential patron to get a handle on--do they have to do the math in their head? Can they be sure that they know exactly how much they're pledging per month? What I'm saying is, do you think it'd be better if I just forewent charging per item and instead charged by the week or month so the pledge amount is easier to handle?

Patrons can cap their expenditures if they are concerned about it. When you put in your patron bid thing, it asks if you want to put in a cap as well. Personally, I find your way of doing it LESS confusing than the other method ... I would say do what works for you and makes you feel comfy, because this is something where you won't please everyone probably :)

Well I also posted about this on FurAffinity and it seems like most people prefer a per-time-period method. I also think it might be better for me as I'd only have to make a summary post once/a few times a month rather than every single time I update, which I currently already have to do for the comic anyhow.

I have the feeling that most people are supporting with what they'd call 'disposable' cash. I'm not sure that the differences in output is going to make a significant dent to what people are willing to support with. Am I right in thinking this? As long as it stays within reasonable boundaries (which can be controlled by putting in a cap as Mountain said) I'm imagining that it's rather 'fire and forget'.

It's disposable cash for the people who HAVE disposable cash, which isn't very convenient for a lot of people who want to support and want to budget, on top of the fact that I can't see what peoples' ACTUAL pledge caps are, so this is better for MY budgeting
