Their plan was to kippnap a girl and use her as a vessel for the demon that they were worshipping and in the process, sacrificing the girl's soul and body, so that demon could use her body instead. However, someone sabotaged the Ritual, and instead of the demon taking Claire's body, the demon got sealed inside her body, therefore, Claire now has assimilated some of the demon's perks and powers.

Yeah, basically they though that if they could give Nevas (That's how the demon is called) a body to be in the human world, the Demon would bless them with power or grant them wishes, but... now they have to deal with a very angry and horny girl that has Nevas' powers. So, is not like Nevas has possesed the girl or controlling her, Claire pretty much is having a powertrip moment -3-;
