Hello mah lovelly mofos! ouo

The allmighty Mofo here talking about some difficulties.

Anyways... it turns out that yesterday i was working on the Patreon rewards... but suddenlly, there was an energy outage, normally an outage would not be such it problem, even having a laptop that has the battery fuck up, so i have to permanently pludged to a ... ehh... that thing on the walls where you plug the devices and shit -w-* anyways, i have a power regulator that manage to store some power in case of blackouts, giving me some 3 minutes to shut down everything propperlly, BUT!!!

My laptop was not connected to the power regulator, and guess what? I LOST ALL THE DAMN PROGRESS THAT I WAS DOING!!! i mean, all the color process was erased, and i dont know why, maybe some sort of corrupted file thing.... anyways, i will send my laptop to a store and see if they can recover the lost files or something but ughhh.... this feels like a kick in the nuts... with 30 yards of impulse >.<; i losed the progress of Roxy, Jaze and Gwenom's pics, a whole week of work erased! maybe it was a bad idea to work on them at the same time for the sake of finish them faster, i dont know if i would be able to recover the progress, but regardless of what can happend, i would not be able to finish those pics in the dealine of this month, the only pic that was intact was Blaze, and not everything was a complete lost, at least the commissions didnt suffered nothing.

I guess that i will have to finish those pics and post them along the next month, with the commissions, i have plenty of them and i need to finish them on September with no further delays. That means that maybe i wouldn't be able to do a poll thingy for the next month >->; ... well, i will see if i can have at least something prepared for September, i was thinking of doing a TF sequence with Nevas, that was one of the options that i haved for the poll, but seeing how things has developed, i guess that i would do that for this month, i dunno exactly how much parts it would have the TF thingy, we will see -3-

In other news, i have recieve some information from Patreon, notifying me about some strange things that has been happening with the platform, it sinces that there was some sort "irregularities" with the website, indicating that some people where not able to pay the pledges in the last month, and the system marked them as "declined" which it could explain why the hell i only recieved 16$ from the 25$ that i should have earned on July -w-*. I will post the information down here so you can have a look:

" Pay day is right around the corner, and we wanted to give you up to date information before payments start processing on Sept 1st.

You may be aware that last month there were some issues with declined payments, and confusion caused by patrons seeing a new descriptor on their bank account. We’ve been working hard to limit the amount of disturbance you might experience this month, and for a full recap of what we’ve been up to with payment processors and you can read a blog post from Tyler, our VP of Operations.

To give you more info, we’ve started working with multiple payment processors to be able to continue successfully processing adult content creators. As a result, we moved the processing for adult creators to the UK. Unfortunately, this means some of your patrons may see a 3% international processing fee for their pledge. This is determined by their bank, not by Patreon, and every bank treats these things differently which makes it hard for us to assess who will be affected.

Here’s some information to share with your patrons in case an issue arises.

If your patrons are having any trouble, here’s what they can do:

  1. If their bank suspects that the Patreon payment is fraudulent, a patron can call up their bank to confirm the payment is theirs and genuine.
  2. If their payment failed, they can follow these steps or switch to a different payment method.
  3. If they are seeing an international processing fee, they can switch their pledge to a different bank that doesn’t charge for international payments.
  4. They can reach out to the Patreon support team to get account specific help.

Here’s what we’ll be doing:

  1. We’ll reach out via email to any patron who receives a “declined” payment with info on what they can do and how.
  2. We will continue Patreon’s proactive practice of retrying payments throughout the month.

Over the next 24-48 hours, you might notice your dashboard fluctuate. We know you’re excited to get your payout, but please sit tight as we process your payments fully before relying on the numbers as your final monthly earnings. They may change a little throughout the month, but don’t worry, that’s just us working in the background retrying any declined payments.

Thank you for your patience while we put the necessary work in to ensure that your art can continue being funded on Patreon. If you need any help or have further questions, we’re just a few clicks away.

The Patreon team."

Well..... it sinces that they are trying to fix this error, which is good!

I gonna take this day off... ughhh.... god, this month was horrible, first the 28 hours outage, then a freaking earthquake, more govertment inflationary shit and now this...

I really want to get the hell out of Venezuela, seriouslly... fuck this country.

Well, thats all for the moment, i hope you guys are doing better than me at least ^^;

See ya!

Sorry to hear about lost work. Has happened to me several time, and it always stings. What I do now is make backup copies of the file I'm working on every hour. Just copy the file into backup folder and do "copy but keep both". That way, if disaster strikes, I only lose an hour at most. I actually lost some work the other day, had to go back to an older copy because of some crap issue with poser.

Shit.... and if is frustrating with drawings, can't imagine how it would be with 3D models, thanks for the tip dude, althought, my computer doesn't have much memory ram left for make copies of the SAI files, they are heavy AF and my computer is just a rusty laptop that has more than 8 years old -w-, althought, i will start to save up some money and by myself some sort of external memory ram for store all my drawings and works in the future.

Eh, it’s not so bad normally because I can always save poses to the library, even if the rest of the file is bad somehow. I use a backup drive, it’s a good idea to store all the extra files. I also make sure to cleanup a projects backups once it’s done, keeps each under 100mb usually.
